Seems to me that it's arrived. The US GDP is a 4%+ growth, versus the rest of the world's anemic sub 2% growth, because Trump has put people who know how to get things done into positions where they can get things done.

Wealth inequality and affordability will become more problematic going forward. Those on the lower end of the K curve will find it more difficult to make ends meet. The 4% gdp was mostly driven by AI construction and development. Other sectors were not so robust. Trump was on tv the other night yelling about his successes. Made me gush with pride. Lol.

Zohran Mamdani's pick to lead the Fire Department of New York City (FDNY) has never been a firefighter. Lillian Bonsignore, who has previously served as the EMS chief for the FDNY, will also be the first person to lead the department who is also openly gay.

Bonsignore is a veteran EMS employee of the FDNY but has never served as a firefighter herself.

Bonsignore said that she "knows the job" and "knows what the firefighters need" despite being primarily in the EMS role. She retired in 2022 and will be the second woman to serve as the FDNY commissioner under Mamdani. She is set to assume the role when Mamdani stops into office in January.
