Friday Morning - Finishing work at Edward's office
When Anna said she was not an important cog in the wheel, Carter smiled thinking that she needs to realize just how important she is to the company. Many marketers had tried to do please Edward Hartman and she did so in a very short period of time. He thought of the Harman deal and the Robert Jones impromptu interview where she excelled at thinking quickly on her feet.
Carter looked at her while she spoke of trying to avoid Josh Williams at the party tonight and about Regina. She had this idea in her head that she was not pretty enough for Carter and now she underestimated how important she was to him and the company. Was she being shy about her abilities or was she really insecure about the importance of her work. At least she did acknowledge that it was possible Josh Williams may have found something about Edward to make him deal with him.
He liked when she laughed saying it was time to get to work. And the soft kiss was delicious and he wanted more. He also liked that she had a sense of humor unlike some of the women he dated in the past. They thought because he was a captain of industry, they had to be serious around him. He had a fun side too but it was not on display all the time.
Arriving at the conference room, he saw all the faces turn to watch him and Anna walk to their seats. Edward's eyes widened and looked at Carter when Anna made the comment about bringing her up to speed on a potential client. Only Edward knew what she was talking about and as they took their seats, he made a smart ass remark about how nice it was for them to join them.
"Hey no problem," Carter replied opening a folder and then hearing a very soft groan from Anna. Looking sideways at her, he saw her trying to sit comfortably in the leather chair and smiled. The spanking from last night was still lingering and from the look on her face, it was going to be a long day.
The meeting went smoothly and even Megan made a lot of contributions. He wondered if Edward had a talk to her. She was cordial to him and went out of her way to talk strategy with Anna.
About an hour and one half into the meeting, Carter picked up his cell phone and texted Anna. "Your breakfast is still cooking. It is getting nice and hard thinking about you having an early lunch." Her cell phone buzzed on the table and she picked it up and tried to keep a straight face as if it was from a client. Shooting him a sideways glance, he heard her groan when she moved her ass in the leather chair. He wondered if anyone else in the room caught on to her fidgeting during the meeting.
He smiled at her, turning his attention to a question from one of the men. Picking up his cellphone again, he quickly punched in another note. "How is your ass today? Do you need someone to gently rub and kiss all the hurt away?" The responding glare from Anna purely indicated she was busy and this was a topic for another time. He smiled and looked around the room, thinking that no one had really paid attention to Anna's gentle gyrations in the chair.
