The substitute paper carrier

paper carriers are typically too young for Lit, but i know that I used to help my son, back in the day, and occassionally, substitute, if he was away, or deserved a sleep in.

Imagine going to the door in my robe, to get the paper, and its just being delivered by the kid's hot mom, with her jacket over her jammies.... her eyes flit down as i realize my robe fell open...

Why a substitute?

To get the age up?
I was a paperboy for years and heard stories by the older guys, especially in the collecting area. Back then, we had to collect and pay our bills every week. All the guys who delivered the morning paper were over 18 and had large, long routes. I heard stories about women waiting for the paperboy to come and meeting him in little or nothing, or comming to the door in lingerie when payment time was due.
There's always the saying, "I'm a little short on cash this week. Is there any other way I can pay you?" I got a few glimpses but never anything more, except meeting the love of my life on a friend's route, Bubbles.

In my metro area, all of the carriers are adults. They have a big pile of papers on the seat next to them and fling them out the window as they drive their route. When the pile gets low, they pull over and move more up front. The bill is included in the paper once a month and we mail it in.

So maybe the guy gets a flat tire, and one of his customers, out for a job, offers to help him out?

Or maybe a woman just decides to be bold and tries to fling a pair of panties into his window as he drives by.
