His saving grace is that he wrote about, and hailed from, one of the best places in the world. For that, I almost forgive him.

His Celtic lyricism and wit appeal to my Irish ancestry....or perhaps its his skewering of the Catholic church. He's a challenge to read that's for certain.

You should, for sure - I 've spent a lot of time there over the years. It is a magical place, and the Wicklow hills just a short drive away are sublime.

Oh and give me wit, lyricism, and skewer away. Just provide a few full stops as well...it's not too much for me to ask
