Neither.


I like the stories that make me want to keep going back - find new things, whilst I remember all the bits I loved every other time....

Unless of course, it's a really shit book. For those I don't even bother with the end.

I meant skip the book to get through it fast, or savor the direction it was going and anticipate a wonderful 'end'. Then hunger for the sequel.

I'm afraid I tend to read fast.........and have to force myself to slow down. Can you read just a few pages at a time- or must you devour huge chunks?

Hmm, I think my original answer still stands - I don't anticipate the end, slowly or otherwise, and I never hunger for sequels. The original book should stand on its own so I can return again and again without losing my passion for it...

I tend to do both -- depends on why I'm reading, and what I'm reading. Devour chunks but linger on the most beautiful bits.

Not that I'm being awkward :)


You shouldn't read so fast, you might miss out on the best stuff.

That is why I am re-reading your reply!!!!:)

I have always read fast, even as a school boy in the library.we were only allowed out 3 books at a time! From swallows and amazons onwards. I devoured lol.

My allowance is currently 25, and it isn't enough. And with that thought, I'm off to read some. Byee!
