The Trick (closed)

Sally could tell many hours had passed when she came to again. The pain wasn't so bad this time but her throat felt like a desert was forming. She didn't see anyone immdeately so she croaked out. "thristy."

 

[NickisSora]

-Leon had been told by Keep to watch for Sally. Every half hour he was stepping in to her room quietly. When he came back up he saw she had awakened. Each time he came in he had brought a ice cold glass of water to serve her. When he came back up this time was no exception as he set the drink down and smiled.-"Got to get back to work."-he said and winked as he went back down stairs.-

Sally waited til he had left waiting the water so bad she could taste it. Sitting up she had to brace herself against the headboard. Her head felt funny and as she looked down at herself she saw many bruises. No wander Leon was running out of the door. Carefully with both hands she picked up the water and managed to get a few sips before the glass slipped from her grip, about that time Keep came in the door and she started crying.

Keep rushed to her side, "Hush now girl it's just water I'll get ya another glass and see if one of the girls have something you can borrow they'll come up to help ye change."

Keep waited for her to nod her acceptance of this before he headed to the door she could see he was upset about something.

-Leon herd the Commotion he tried to help out in the Saloon a girl ran up stairs. Leon was Worried but they were getting busy now. He went back to playing the Piano for a song or two before waiting again.-"What is going on.."-his heart rate was picking up he was worried and racing around.-

Molly was one of the older women who worked in the saloon and she was about the same size as Sally. Molly was quick and effeciante in helpping her change then sat on the side of the bed as she helped her drink down some water.

"Thank you" Sally whispered before closing her eyes and drifting off again.

-This was the latest Leon had worked but he needed to help until things were worked out. Leon was getting tired but would not let it on. His feet hurt and his fingers were cold from the frosty drinks. Leon was told to play music since the crowd wanted to dance.IT was 1am and The Trick began to close. Keep had told Leon to take a week of with Miss Sally to get there life in order and for her to rest.Leon carried Sally home and put her in bed and closed her door locking it and slid her key under the door for her. Leon him self wrote a note for her telling her how much he made in tips for her. Leon also told her they got off for the next week for her to recover. Leon him self cleaned up and went to bed anticipating the next day.-

Sally woke the next morning in her own bed. She was all in one piece so she counted herself lucky. Rising she went about her bath and dressing she was headed for the door when she found the key to her room and a note from Leon. She really did need to talk to him so she headed up to his room and knocked on the door not sure if he would be awake.

 

[NickisSora]

-Leon was barely awake but he had showered and dressed in casual dress today. Leon answered the door and blushed.-"oh...Miss Sally come on in...."-he let her walk in and smiled.-"Did you sleep well."-he asked.-

Sally smiled at Leon. "Well enough thank you. Leon we need to talk may we sit?"

 

[NickisSora]

-Leon was worried and sat down with her as he nods taking out a big wad of money from her tips yesterday in a small sack.-"Here this is your Money i got form waiting for you."

 

[lmcms]

She smiled softly at him "Keep it you worked for it. That's not what I wanted to talk to you about. It's about us I vagly remeber you saying something about eloping and getting house. While I would love that Leon I don't want you to feel guilted into it."

 

[NickisSora]

-Leon shook his head and placed the money in her lap.-"It was your shift."-he chuckled.-"I am not guilted while i was rescuing you it came to me what i had to do. I couldn't be scared if i wanted to be with you. I am willing to go through it with you if you are for me. I want you to be Happy.I know...the only way we...can be together more if...we court...but we don't have any one to court us. I want to do this because i love you. I got rewarded for stopping the bank robbers and bringing the money back. This is what i want."

 

[lmcms]

Sally nibbled her lip, "Oh Leon do you mean it? Trully?" A smile as bright as the sun began to spread across her face in hope.

 

[NickisSora]

-Leon nos and took her hands.-"I mean it with every ounce of my being. Do you want to come with me to see the house i want to buy."-he said.-"Do you Miss Sally...I be wanting to get it, its a nice one story and has a nice size for us."

Sally threw herself into Leon's arms wrapping her arms tightly around his neck, "OH Leon I would be happy if we lived in a shack just so long as I was with you. But yes let's go see it. Leon I love you so much you make me so happy."

 

[NickisSora]

-Leon smiled and held her back.-"Happy to hear that..."-he smiled as they stood up and he locked the door.-"After we go look at the house I must deposit some of the money i made last night. After that we have the rest of the week to enjoy one another."-he said as they walked towards a familiar house....Yes it was Sally's old Ranch home. The Animals were sold and the Ranch bare but the house went down in value and Leon smiled.-"Well....this is the one."

Sally turned to Leon in shock tears streaming down her face in waves. "How did you.... I just finalized the sale with the bank yesterday, I don't understand." She clung to his arm as tears streaked down her face of joy and confusion.

 

[NickisSora]

-Leon smiled and looked to her.-"I...Found your paper...found out...I had enough....I wanted to buy it back for you."-he smiled.-"We will have the money now it will be good."-Leon pulled her to a hug and held her close.-

 

[lmcms]

Sally hugged him tight and kissed his cheek, "I wish we where already married so we could start moving in."

 

[NickisSora]

-Leon looked.-"How do we Elope though?"-he asked as he held her close to him. Leon wanted to make her feel so happy and light she float away.-

 

[lmcms]

Sally thought about this for a moment "Well the way I understand it instead of getting married in a church you go before the judge state your reasons and he'll marry you right there nice and simple like."

 

[NickisSora]

-Leon looked to her.-"Well...We can do that any time your ready....I want you Sally....I want you in my life forever."

 

[lmcms]

Sally couldn't help herself she pulled his face down and kissed him. "I love you Leon when ever you want I'm ready."

 

[NickisSora]

-Leon chuckled.-"How about we eat something and get dressed up and go get Married then...Afterwards I will go to the bank sign the property papers pay them and we will be able to start moving in."

Sally hooked her arm in his "Nothing would sound better love."
