[NickisSora]

-Leon smiled to her.-"I mean....stay with me no matter what. Unless i am unfit i want you by my side."

Sally smiled, "Always Leon I'll always be here for you but we need sleep so so I am going back to my room. I'll see you in the morning?"

 

[NickisSora]

-Leon nods and kissed her cheek.-"Night Sally my sweet till tomorrow."

Sally blushed furiously before turning and heading back down stairs to her room humming a happy tune. Once again in her room she began singing a lively upbeat melody as she change into her night shift and readied for bed. Snuggled deep in her bed and looked at the ceiling "Good night my love."

-The next morning, Leon woke up and cleaned up getting ready for the day. They began getting busy at the saloon and he smiled at the thought of money he could make today. Tomorrow he had off and he was going to enjoy it. Leon put on a short sleeve white shirt, black slacks, boot and socks, a bandana around his neck and a boulder on his head once more.-

Sally over slept again by a lot glancing at her father's pocket watch she realized she had only enough time to get ready for work and head there would be no time to be around Leon today. Quickly jumping out of bed rushing about to make herself a bath after filling it and grabbing some things she need she tripped and fell her fresh undergarments landing in the tub. In a fit of frustration Sally let out a scream and slammed her feet and hands against the floor in a tantrum.

 

[NickisSora]

-Leon had eaten at home today and been relaxing. Sally had been a sleep earlier but from the sounds of it she wasn't any more.-"Uh oh...sounds like trouble."-Leon walked down dressed for work and knocked on the door.-"Sally? You need help?"-he smiled.-

Unthinking of what she was wearing or how she looked Sally stomped to the jerked it open and yelled at Leon. "I QUIT." It took her a moment to realise what she had done.

"Oh my Leon I'm so sorry I have had just an aweful moring I slept late so I have to get ready to go straight to work I tripped dropped all my things in the tub and scapped my arms" she lifted them to show a raw looking mark on each forearm. Leaveing the door open Sally stoped off and fell face first into the bed.

-Leon bit his lip and walked over and put his hand on her head.-"hey now....looks like i will have you move in with me....at least i can help you with your life a bit....your a farm girl you should be getting up."-he said and shook his head. Leon walked over took her clothes out of the tub and put them on a hot place in the sun where they would dry.-"Come on clean up at least yoru clothes will dry a bit and on the way there and while you work....no more of this you can not give up Sally."-he said.-"Come on miss Sally...."-When she brushed his hand away Leon bit his lip and ran out of her apartment and towards the Saloon letting Matt know she may be late due to waking up late he began doing his shift by filling drink orders.-

Sally finally convienced herself to bathe and find something to wear to head to the saloon to talk to Keep. She smiled at how everyone always called him Matt but for as long as she could remeber she had been calling him Keep at first because she didn't know his name then because well she was use to calling him Keep.

Stepping in the door she walked to the bar farthest from Leon. "Keep we got us a problem." When he raised his brow in question Sally went on. "Keep I'm a mess every since Pa passed I cna't get on a schedule at all the only time I'm not clumbsy is when I'm here other wise I am fallin, trippin, and having near misses."

Keep nodded his head thinking it over. "What you need Miss Sally is somthing to do when your Pa was alive you where forever busy he was always braggin bout how you could add more hours to the day. But well now you moved into town and your only working here you've notin else to do with yer time. Getting married 'd set you right sure as rain it would."

Sally laughed, "You offering Keep?"

 

[NickisSora]

-Leon smiled grabbing a few more drinks before he began to play. He had not paid attention yet to there talking. Leon went to play his piano as he smiled playing some up beat tunes.-

Keep let loose with a loud laugh that drew everyones attention. "Miss Sally I wouldn't know what to do with a pretty young thing like you, but I'll keep my eye out for suitors and make sure they court you proper like you Pa would have wanted." Before Sally could say anythinng to that comment Keep clinked glasses together to draw everyone's attention. "Any of yous want Miss Sally me and mt shotgun gonna make sure you do it poper as any young lady desveres Ye hear me?"

One of the regulars hollared out, "You better aim for your pianest I've seen them about town together they even live under the same roof at the boarding house ain't all proper now is it Matt?"

Sally buried her face in her hands at this point wishing the world would swallow her whole.

 

[NickisSora]

-Leon blushed and turned.-"What if i do love miss Sally...I would never do anything to hurt her....I do anything i can to make her happy."-Leon said standing up.-

Sally kept her face covered now too shocked to move her hands. Did Leon just confess his love of her to the entire saloon. Without even moving her hands she knew Keep was swivling his head from one of them to the other confused.

"Keep" she whispered. "Think you get the attention else where this is no conversation for all the town to hear."

She still didn't move her hands from her face affraid of what she would see when she did. If she could walk blindly and safely out of the spotlight she would but with her luck she'd break her foolish neck.

 

[NickisSora]

-Leon looked at Sally as he kept play and Keep yelled to continue drinking and dancing. they continued there business. Leon played afraid he blew his chance with Sally now. He wanted her to get over her fear but maybe he was not doing it right. He ordered a cranberry juice with lime as he continued to look at the crowd some were dancing now at least.-

Sally felt a set of hands on her shoulders and caught a wiff that was uniguely Keep as he pulled her into a hug.

"I'm sorry Miss Sally I forgot you didn't like attention. Is it true though is You Leon courtin' ya?" He asked with a tenderness she had only heard once agian and it brought tears to her eyes.

"I dunno Keep he said he wants me to be with him but I don't rightly know if that means he's courtin' me or something else. Do you Keep?" She asked in a tender niave voice once again showing her age.

"I don't at that Miss Sally I don't at that. Why don't you go on in the back and see that are the glasses are cleaned right good that way you can get out of this crowd."

"Yes Keep" She stood on tip toe and kissed his cheek heading off to the back but not before she saw Keep stomping over to Leon she winced are rushed in the back. She was sure she didn't need to see whatever was about to happen.

-Leon was stopped by a pair of hand and looked up to Matt he blushed seeing his look. They headed to his office a moment letting his eyes look back to Matt.-"I know what your going to ask..."-He said.-"Yes i am interested in Sally...I want to date her....I want to be with her....I want to get married to her one day.........."-Leon was nervous what would he say.-

Matt AKA Keep

"Well son that's all good and dandy but are ye gonna do it proper like? Our Miss Sally she a really lady and derves to be treated like one?" He let out a sigh and placed a heavey hand on Leon's shoulder. "Her family was good peoples but now she got no one so I mean to do the job her Pa should be here doin."

 

[NickisSora]

-Leon looked.-"If you couldn't tell Matt I am from Louisiana and frankly i do not know how to do that....tell me what can I do to proper court."

Matt aka Keep

Matt let out a hearty full bodied laugh "Boy you been working for me for 3 years now 'course I know where you come from. Now courtin' that's one of them there real tricky like things. Yall living at the boardin house make all the more tricky. Ye gots to give her flowers and gifts. Take her to eat and for walks and picnics but the trick to them things is ya gotta have a chaperone. And dances ya gotta dance with her but you have to have a chaperone then to or yall can't come together or leave at the same time. And maybe if yer lucky boy a few stolen kisses."

Matt let out breath man this being resposible for a lady thing was hard work but Miss Sally was worth it. "And NO and boy do I mean NO visiting eachother's rooms behind closed doors or alone till you got ring on that girl's finger."

 

[NickisSora]

-Matt was serious.-"We do not have Chaperone's though you are the closest thing we have...You work though a lot does this mean it may never work then?"

Sally sat at the table tapping her nails on the table this sure was taking a while she hoped nothing bad was happening.

Matt AKA Keep

"Well son what about that old Crone who runs the boarding house I bet you'd make her day if you asked her." Matt nodded and smiled proud that he had come up with such a fine salution.

 

[NickisSora]

-Leon came out with Matt as they sat down with her.-"I want to properly court you Sally....I do not know how we are to do it though. Honestly....the only parent you have is...Keep.....but he works most of the time.....I am not sure how we are to do this."

Sally sighed deeply "oh Leon I tried to explain last night I guess I didn't do to good a job." With a heavy sigh Sally alid her head on the table.

"You could always elobe Miss Sally let him court ya afterward." Keep suggested.
