Having both Britwitch and Zydrate as two upcoming co-writers has me feeling very lucky, rather honored, a little excited, and I am therfore smiling myself to sleep.

Good night Literoticii, and thanks for being you...

For the first time in ages, being fully caught up in my threads. Won't last long, but it's a good feeling.

''Good mornings'' from lovely people here.

Our Christmas tree is up.!!! Yes! Hubby will die when he sees it, just so long as he misses falling into it, lol.

Love it! We already have fairy lights in the garden and our trees will go up next week! 1st December!! Oh yeah!! ;)

Thinking of getting all the decorations out and fiddling with the lights makes me smile a lot!

**looks up the posts and screams**

Noooooooo!!!!

Won't you all be sick of your Christmas trees when christmas rolls around??!!

Not to mention there wont be a needle left on the tree??? (I'm guessing they must be artificial!!!

One year I let hubby and kids talk me into buying the tree on 8th December... By Christmas it was all droopy and miserable looking!!!

Each to his own I guess, but I hate seeing it too early. For me it take away from the special festiveness of the season!

Today's smile ~

Brought to you by the letter W for Witchling sightings and V for Vail pounces.

Also a visit from Dan, Dan the maintenance man...

I smiled because of...

...the pain from yesterday's workout
...the prospect of jogging through the pain today
...seven days to Dec. 1st

:nana:

But it is the festive season Sally. It just begins in November in most homes in our area. I'm just about a week earlier than usual, but theirs some that have them up since just after Halloween. Christmas is huge for us. And not the commercial part..We just love Christmas and how it makes the house feel.

bounces through the thread singing

"Deck the halls with boughs of holly, fa la la la la, la la, la laaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

Good girl!! A smile by the baby mama and her dancing banana!!

Another smile here caused by Luna Lovliness herself

Sometimes I wonder if having a Witchling in my pocket would be good for her?? I mean so I could pull her out and play with her whenever i wanted??

Also, I smiled because my boss is a very silly man who says silly things and whose nick name is now *Wheat thin...*

A parent teacher meeting, with the teacher struggling to tell me in the most PC way possible, that my baby was not only very naughty, but also the class ringleader!!

Getting the kids off to bed early!

Relaxing with a scotch

An invitation to join hubby in the steam shower, with low mood lighting, and soft music. :D

I agree wholeheartedly with all of that! Christmas is a huge deal in our house too! I love it! It's my favourite time of year.

To be honest, we're usually one of the last in our area to put up the tree, but there would only be a few who put them up before December 8th. Having a real tree limits you, and I'm not a fan of artificial ones!

For me, as a kid, we always put our tree up a day or two before Christmas eve, when my older siblings came back from Boarding school. I kinda carried on from there, but seeings as I have to work up til Christmas Eve, we organise it the weekend before. Every year the kids are going nuts to get the tree and put up the decorations, but the tradition has rubbed off, cos last year (our first Christmas in this house) hubby wanted to get the tree around the 12th, and the kids began to moan that it was too early!! I love the smell of a real tree, and anything else just isn't christmas for me!!

I think the best thing about Christmas is the traditions that each family have, and the wonderful memories that are made. My eldest is 14 and although I'm sure he no longer believes in Santa, he still stoically writes his letter etc!! Next kid started secondary this year, and I told him that he couldn't come to my work Santa party, because its only for Primary Children, and he demanded that I tell everyone he was still in 6th class!! (He's 2" taller than me!!) LOL!!

Aw Sal, that's sweet. My eldes is a year older, and long past santa, but still has his list lol..and usually the most expensive one since he's aware we pay for it now. But he's being very good this year, understanding how things are here, and is just looking for a new phone which is well within budget..The other two though believe thank goodness, but have surprised us with asking for rather simple things, and have gone the modern way and emailed in their lists to a santa site, that sent them emails back, that we printed out for them.

And my husband, bless him, didn't bat an eye when he came home, and actually hung one swag for me that I couldn't do on my own. I think he gets everyone just needs the little lift the decorations bring to a mood. And I think everyone in the town is the same. It's been hit really hard with job losses, and most just want a little cheer and determination to make the most of Christmas when they can.

Oh and that's my smile today. Determination and decent people trying their best.

Hmm, that made me smile more than my original thought, but...

Smilin' because there are so many little things to be thankful for today.

Smilin' because my Tapioca Man was willing to fork out three times the cost of thanksgiving dinner so we could spend all day cooking yesterday and give two dinners away to poor families in our little town. Somehow that just kinda' struck a chord Alana's post in my mind.

Smilin' and thankful to have reached a point where I could explore my sexuality again without destroying my family and my marriage so...

Smilin' because of Lit.

I recently had a very long conversation with a customer about Ireland and their struggles. There are many people here that send good will and thoughts. I believe that the troubles that are at your doorstep are the kind to speak to everyone. It will get better.

Thank you L.I. hugs.

I think I'm going to stop watching the news, and reading newspapers.

Right now hubby and a bottle of nice wine is making me smile, and a quiet house.

Realising we have three 30kg boxes arriving from the UK tomorrow, full of all the stuff we bought and were given during our month tour in October...including all sorts of things for Baby Britwitch and my new knee high boots that I've been dying to wear all this time!!
There are also 3 boxes of Cadbury's chocolate fingers in there somewhere...always reason to smile :D

And Alana your positivity always makes me smile!
