A snowball fight in the back garden a little while ago with the kids, my sister and her partner. I think I came out of it worse for the wear. But huge fun.

Just remembering a conversation I heard between a brother and sister, aged 5, at work today...

Boy: 'When Daddy smoked when he was young, he only did it for safety, cause they told him to.'
Girl: 'Don't be silly, they don't smoke for safety, they smoke to die!'

But yeah. Things that made me smile:

- Light Ice
- Unwittingly declaring that, yes, 'I'm a whore!' to a hallway of people
- Walking into class looking flushed and smiley and dazed
- Getting the news that my friend's sister is going to be okay (she overdosed last night but is in stable condition now)
- Realizing that my best friend is even more amazing than I ever give her credit for, and that I'm lucky to have her
- A rare evening with no plans or responsibilities
