Not because I have an urge to write one, just have them on my mind.

thinking about how much I loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer started me down that road I think, but not thinking fan fic.

Hardly novel to say that vamps are sexy of course.

Then @KindredFlame mentioned Dracula in a DM. Really got me thinking about how sexy the bloodsuckers are, but how difficult it is to plot, and to have an ending that works.

The trick is to make it fresh.

So I like twists on Vampire lore or going back to aspects that get ignored . Nothing wrong with them being sexy on their own but I like a little something different

For example: my favorite modern vampire novels are Christopher Buelhman’s “The lesser Dead” and “Suicide Motor Club” in those, the vampires look however they did when they were turned but they can put up a glamour to further improve their looks (really old vampires do start looking bad as well) and also hypnotize their prey so they willingly come with them (like in SMC the main villain tells a pair of girls exactly how he’s going to kill them and they still go with him). Easy mind control story there

BUT: I think the aspect that would be fun to explore is as a corrupting presence and a bringer of plague. Doesn’t sound sexy on its own? Well let’s say: vampire is brought to a town ala Salem’s lot. The town however is the main focus. What the vampire in this story would do though is influence the town to be easier prey.

Suddenly, the townsfolk feel their circulation improve. Arousal comes easier and soon even prudes are acting like horny teens. The vampire is just making them easier prey: better circulation means easier feeding and the town being hornier means they are less focused on the threat in their midst, they let vampires into their houses, or they go outside to fuck, making them easier prey

I have an idea for a lesbian vamp story in my ideas document. A vamp and a very damaged mortal woman.

I like my vampires female and capable of the kind of ruthless cruelty one learns over a hundred or more years of feeding on humans.

So, like a play on The Hunger?
Love that movie.

A rare example of a perfect movie. I adore the music, and the choice of cast, and the ending may not make sense but I prefer it to the book.

(The ending echoes Daughters of Darkness where Bathory dies but her spirit lives on in the young vampire she just made.)

So really happily EVER AFTER.

Seems you would like any of the books about drow women. They are not vampires but similar. Series was written by R.A. Salvatore but others have written about them as well. Drow are dark elves that live underground, hate bright light, enslave males and are cruel.

except we're not here to talk book chices, rather to look for erotic Story Ideas to potential be written and submitted to the main site. My bad for jumping to the movie reference earlier. I'm a visual thinker.

Fair enough ... I just got side tracked mentally and responded. I won't bother the thread further and allow it to go back to the original topic.

Feel free to jump in with fresh ideas. your interest in and knowledge of the subject may be valuable.

Thought of an idea for a structure:

We do a standard setup: small town, stranger moves in and a woman is attacked and drained of blood. Town has a bunch of secrets, many involving the woman who was attacked.

Vampire preys on them multiple ways: destroying their AC units so they open their windows or go outside at night, using victims phones to lure new victims to be fed on and fucked by the old, and going after the clergy outside of church.

town tries to fight back but they all succumb whether due to lust (if you’re the only unchanged one do you really want to be leftor being overpowered) but maybe one hunter gets lucky and kills the vampire…and that’s when it’s revealed the real vampire has been in the morgue the whole time posing as the first victim: why handle things herself she. She could have a local do the work for her?

But for some sillier/sleazier ideas:

1. Blood drive. Guy or gal finds out their work will let them take time off for a bloodrive. They find out one is happening in a part of town and go, hoping to skip work. It’s an odd one though, far less questions and they get strapped down. Turns out the drive is a vampire sex party: they won’t die but they get to have sex with guests provided they donate a pint or two.

2. Vampire therapist. She takes on clients who have severe anger and anxiety issues but she also specializes in addiction . Clients get to be dulled to their more destructive desires and they get to fuck their hot psychiatrist…or at least dream about it and psychiatrist gets a warm meal

I like the vampire therapist idea. I'd leave out the addiction part, I think and focus on the anxiety. Not sure why that is my reaction though, so YMMV.
A warm meal is always a good thing.

I've just finished the latest season of The Witcher. In it, Lawrence Fishburne plays a vampire that I quite liked named Regis.

Why go sexy? Why not go monstrous?

Person hears all these stories about sexy vampires, and is really into the idea, thinking he'll be hot and interesting enough to be made immortal.

Boy, is he in for a surprise when a six-limbed nightmarish hellspawn answers the door.

But she's actually quite sweet, and doesn't get a lot of company. Turns out there are a lot of misconceptions about vampires, and she shyly tells him about her kind — after kidnapping him when he screams and turns to run. She's just had it with people not wanting to stay, and over the course of her story he starts to sympathize with her a bit. Kinda Beauty and Beast-style thing, he agrees to stay for a bit if she promises to make him immortal. Vampires can't do that, but she lies that she will to keep him around, and the whole time she's feeling guilty. She gives him a few treats, freaky oral that is better than anything he could ever experience, the best cuddles, she dotes on him and tells him how pretty he is. Eventually, though, the truth comes out, and she reveals she can't actually make him immortal like her. So... is he charmed by her honesty anxiety and having spent time with her, he decides to forgive it, or is he so enraged he tries to leave... and does she stop him?

Jesus, that took a lot of twists... Brain, learn how to walk a straight line!

Can't sexy be monstrous at the same time?
(looks in mirror... yup)

It's always bugged me how watered-down vampires have got since the originals.

Fun fact, Dracula walks around in sunlight several times in Bram Stoker's novel. It limits his ability to shapechange or something if I remember correctly but that's it. Bursting into flames was invented for the movie Nosferatu. Everyone knows he can turn into a bat, but lots of people might not know about turning into wolves or mist. When feeding he actually resembles a leech more than a bat, which makes sense for when and where the story was written. He's attractive in a hypnotic, supernaturally alluring way that has nothing to do with looking like a good physical specimen. A stake through his heart doesn't have to be wooden and isn't any more dangerous to him than to a person; in the novel, he's stabbed with a knife just to hold him in place long enough to cut his head off. Whereas lots of later vampires just explode in sunlight or if anything made of wood gets in their general chest area. Vampires on Buffy the Vampire Slayer were killed with pencils through their chest. Humans have a good chance of surviving that; we have ribs.

Then again, Dracula had a few problems that later versions don't. For example, he couldn't cross running water on his own and preferred sleeping in coffins filled with dirt imported from Romania. Although I likewise don't remember off the top of my head if he needed to, or it's just a preference; there's some vampire stuff that even Van Helsing is unsure about.

I've used some of this in non-erotic fiction not destined for Lit. Someone who wanted to do an erotic vampire story might play with the expectations of modern vampires vs. the original stuff. Some who could easily fend off the average Buffyverse or True Blood vampire might have a lot of problems with the original, and vice versa.

I'm thinking one of the "classic" vampire stories (by virtue of being old), and put a spanner in the work.

In the old mansion/castle resides the old gentleman. Once in a while visitors come knocking in the night seeking shelter. They are welcomed, and subsequently prayed upon during the night(s) of their stay.

Then one night a (group of) groupies come knocking. Every worst character has their fans. Where he normally thrives upon the chaos and uncertainty of his guests as he prays on them, this woman/group of women has some expectation what's happening and welcome it. Instead of the old vampire seducing them or surprising them, they do it to him. That takes him off balance.

If it's a group of women then they might also engage in some activities with each other not sanctioned for that time period. Eventually the vampire might be too drained for any blood sucking to be happening.

Odd spin on it:

Young woman has undergone a change lately: before she was shy, lethargic, and lacked confidence. Now she’s bursting with energy, is highly seductive, and very sociable.

As people start dropping like flies, she is suspected but she passes all of the vampire tests.

The real culprit is her clothing. Her lingerie, swimsuits and several pieces of clothing are vampiric in nature: as long as they are fed blood, she gets the benefits but if they feed on her she’ll die, so she teases men then leaves her underwear where they can steal steal it, or she gets people to wear the clothes when its time to feed.

There’s always the option of sexual vampirism, the vampire feeding off sexual energy, gradually draining the lover of life.

She knows she should send him away, but his passion for makes her feel loved and young and alive again, and his obsession won’t allow him to let her go.

It has been done before, and done well, but the ground is fertile…

Basically jumping into succubi/incubi territory? Lots of variation on how the sexual feeding works in most of those stories: fatal, weakening, just surfing the sex vibes.

"Bitch, please, I'm a vampire. I just happen to, you know, feed on sexual energy. I'm nothing like those floozy succubi! I don't even have a tail! Now, stick it in my ass this time. Don't hold back. Yeahhhh, that's the good stuff..."

There is a similarity, but the sexual vampire perhaps exists within a romantic attraction space while the succubus exists within a sexual attraction space. The succubus ultimately is a thief of cum, while the vampire is a thief of life.

Jess Franco’s The Female Vampire had two cuts, one with her feeding on cum, the other on blood. A sad and haunting film with memorable scenes.
