Thinkings, feelings and...doings ~ 2013

LT ~ Holiday! Holiday! Holiday! Now to write, write, write! 5k to do today, I can do it!

Feeling ~ Like I should have stopped after the second glass of bubbly...

Doing ~ Nothing, yet

Sunny here in Oxfordshire. Morning everyone, as the great Mr Benaud would say.

I plan to do as little as possible whilst maintaining at least the external appearance of a responsible adult who cares about things like kitchen surfaces and washing clothes, like a normal, decent human being.

Any chance you could send some sunshine this way?

smiles winningly

Sounds like my approach to today.
Minimise mess, occupy mini witches and write whenever possible.

I should be delighted. <Opens battered leather bag containing the Four Great Winds.>

In which direction should I send the sun, O Britwitch?

Up to the North and a little to the East, if you please. I'm in the Land of the Midnight Sun only, today, it doesn't seem to be shining much at all.

How very kind of you!

Thinking: My brain hurts.

Feeling: Oh so many, many things...

Doing: Resting, being still, waiting for Wimbledon, scribbling in a notebook.

Your wish is my command, madam.

<Opens bag, which appears to be fighting furiously.> Fly, my pretties! FLY!

The only problem is that they tend to rather relish their freedom, and may take a little while to get there. But I think I can guarantee you sunshine by the end of the month, if that's OK...Money back if not completely satisfied.

<Bows head gently.> Good morning, Essie. I am sorry that your brain hurts, but glad to hear that you are scribbling. I don't think I told you how much I enjoyed your contribution to June's Challenge, and I can't wait to read more of your writing.

Is there any chance I shall have the honour of buying you and Ms. Britwitch a drink later at her delightful poolside? If not, I hope you have a good day and enjoy Wimbledon.

That would be delightful. Brit and I had rather a delightful time yesterday christening the pool, it certainly is an ideal spot to unwind and try to centre one's self. Hopefully I will see you there later. I believe Ms Brit is in the midst of a creative whirlwind so I'm sure she will be by once the dust settles!

What ever woke the household up better hope I never find it... Ever. Awake way too early

As long as I get one sunny day before my holidays are over? I shall be happy!

grins

And yes, drinks at the pool sound a wonderful idea!

Does anyone know how to wipe the cache of a Samsung SII Galaxy android phone?

I'm having phone issues, and I think that might be what I need to do.

I've Googled (though not exhaustively), and the step-by-steps I've found haven't got me to the proper menu.

Any help anyone can provide would be very much appreciated. :rose:

I got you!

This is going to be a little annoying, but here's what you have to do.

Turn your phone off.
Hold down your Home, Volume UP, and Power buttons all at the same time, until you see the Samsung logo pop up. Release the buttons quickly, and then hold them all again.

It should put you into what is called Recovery Mode.

http://www.biggtech.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/samsung-galaxy-s2-recovery-mode.jpg

Use the volume button to navigate down to Clear Cache Partition, and hit Power to select it. It may take you to a screen to confirm that's what you want to do, just use volume again to navigate, power again to select.

I think you'll have to choose to reboot the phone manually, but it'll either be on the first screen it takes you to after clearing it, or you'll just have to select back or home to go back to that first screen, and select Reboot System Now.

Your phone will take a little longer than normal to boot up, and let it sit for a minute after it does too just to give it a few moments to rebuild the cache, and then you should be good to go.
