My amusement is at how lost an American political type was when confronted with a what we'd see as a normal interview technique. He seemed to think he'd been tricked into appearing on the commie channel. Here, anyone going on air to talk about their politics would expect a grilling, not a platform.

It's pretty striking, the difference in the way we view and treat them. A national nasty streak, that's used just as much on your own side as the opposition. We'd feel short changed in the "guest" didn't break into a sweat.

Joe Rogan does a very good job of that. I think that not being able to tell the actual point of view of a journalist or interviewer speaks to professionalism, and yes that is nearly non-existent in America. Some used to. Tim Russert, Charlie Rose, Larry King and even Carson and Leno made an effort not to inject their own opinions.

I was having a discussion with someone that leans left the other night and somehow or another we were talking about Joe Rogan and interesting Lee I think he leans a little center-left and my friend thinks that he leans a little center right. We remarked at how interesting that that is that our own perception colors how we see other people's perceptions. That's a lotta thats that I put in that there sentence.
