This spider bite is driving me crazy!

Thanks for asking. No, not yet, though I do think we have the infection under control now. The first two antibiotics, which were targeting MRSA, didn't do a thing, it kept spreading and there was serious talk of admitting me to the hospital. But she tried another antibiotic with a broad spectrum of coverage and the spreading red swelling slowed down before it actually engulfed my knee, but not by much (bite is on the upper, inner surface of my formerly milky-white thigh). Friday she added an injection of yet another antibiotic and it finally stopped spreading and actually receded some yesterday.

I will *not* describe the ever so sexy drainage that's happening now.

OMG!! Hon ((((((((((((Vanelane))))))))))))))
I am glad there is some relief finally!! Damn spiders!! I don't care what those bug people say, there is no such thing as a good spider!! Only dead ones!!

Ya crazy nut! Go have that looked at asap. Could turn serious.

That thing could turn into leg rot or something worse.

Update

So the culture came back monday, and it turned out there *is* some MRSA which is also resistant to the Levaquin that seemed to be helping. Of course, being the good pharmacist that I am, I had tossed out the original prescriptions when they were discontinued, so I had to get them filled again. I am definitely on the mend now! Just have to take seven different pills of three different antibiotics every day, half requiring empty stomach and half requiring food. Anyway, blah, blah, blah, I appreciate the concern and I am on the road to recovery. Thanks everyone.

try epsom salt with warm water. my wife is going through thesame thing as we speak. yesterday all swollen and hard. today it is draining and drying up. good luck. you can buy that at any food store.
