Thrift Store Connection (Closed for fellatrixlestrange)

Christina giggled at the bartender's offer to witness, or help. It was probably not the right thing to do, as John was visibly annoyed. She couldn't help it, though. She was turned on by the attention, even if she had no particular interest in the bartender. She refocused on John, a subtle turn of her body that said enough. She put her hand on his thigh.

"You better be ready to prove that," she whispered to him, when he made his claim about canning honey.

He didn't seem too bothered, as they made their way to the table. He introduced himself, and her, to the others.

The two women were Gloria and Bridget. Gloria was glamorous and sexy in a MILF-leaning-toward-GILF way. Bridget was standard modest lady. Patrick and Duane, their husbands, wore standard suits. Patrick was greying naturally, Duane was hiding it. Both were doing a bad job of pretending not to check out her cleavage. She blushed, but there was no denying that the attention excited her.

Bridget started with the questions, and Christina told the truth... sort of.

"We really only met a few weeks ago," she said. "Like, it's probably sooner than I'd really want to introduce him to my whole family, you know? But... well, I didn't want to be at a wedding with him and pretend like I didn't know him. But by the time we decided to... to be each other's official date, I guess? The seating chart was already done, and...."

Gloria saved her from babbling on. Unfortunately, she was right. That was her sister. She drained the wine, took a deep breath, and pasted on the brightest smile she owned.

"HEY!" she said, and gave her a quick hug, radiating phony cheer. "So, this is John! John, this is Madeleine. I can call her Maddy, you'd better get permission. John and I are still, um, getting to know each other?"

"Anyway," she said, turning to her sister, wide-eyed. "What's up?"
