To Hunt a Vampire

~ Talin watched the 2 before her... Maiar and the Hunter/Priest... she moved to the shadows, hiding within. She did not want to be seen now, by either. This was her chance, her chance to get away from Maiar.

But did she want to?

A part of her wanted to stay with Him. Talin could not deny that. He... He had felt so good inside her, making love to her, fucking her... it was a feeling the new vampire wanted to feel again. Him, her, locked together.. yet... He had turned her into the one thing she had hated all her life. The same monster she had hunted. Yet, she had begged for it. Offered her throat, what had she been thinking. And, He was as alone as she had been, perhaps moreso.

Her thoughts, feelings, warred with each other within her as she watched the fight. And deep inside her, that hunger was beginning to grow .. that cold chill.. that craving..

She wrapped her arms about her middle.. "nooo" she whispers to herself.. not wanting that feeling, knowing what it was, what it meant.

Talin.. would have to feed soon... ~

He could feel something tugging at the back of his mind...Talin...a snarl grew on his face as he looked across the road to the priest. With a sigh Maiar stood straight and wrapped his cape around him.

"It seems I have other business to attend to. Dont die Father...I look forward to our next encounter."

Lucas just raised a brow as bats swirled around Maiar, covering him in darkness until he eventually vanished from sight, the bats scattering to the wind.

He reappeared next to Talin in the darkness, taking hold of her wrist, pulling her back into the shadows with him...

It's time to feed you my dear...

He lead her out of the shadows and into a vacant alleyway of a large and bustling town. People were going to and fro on the streets just five feet from them, but they were not noticed...not in the commotion already going on in these people's everyday lives.

Go...hunt...I'll be watching...

With that he drifted back into the darkness of the alley, fading from sight...

~ Talin had not even realized that she indeed had left the area. She was being drawn toward the town, toward the people, the prey, the blood... the fight left behind her.

She tried to fight the urges, cravings, that seemed to be consuming her. When Maiar appeared next to her, wrapping His cool fingers around her wrist, she was not sure she was glad He had come to her, or hated that He had found her.

It's time to feed you my dear...

SHe shot Him a look at those words. No matter the craving, the hunger that was building inside her, she hated what He had made her into.

Go...hunt...I'll be watching...

"I wish You had killed me instead of turning me into.. this" she snarls at Him before turning away from Him and disappearing from that alleyway.

Talin knew she had to feed. Dying would not be as simple as starving herself. The hunger would become overwhelming and she would turn into a monster, much like Maiar's monster she supposed. At least right now she could control herself and feed without causing undo pain to the poor innocent...

She pauses in the mid of the street. It was still early enough in the evening that alot of people were out and about. She pretty much had her choice for hunting. And she was no stranger at it, the prey had only changed, at least for now.

She makes her way to the local bar, this one located attached to a restaurant, those were better, less likely to have the local drunks within. The smell of food almost turned her stomache. Shaking her head in disgust at what she had become, she slinks quietly into the bar, sitting down and ordering a glass of wine. SHe had no intention of drinking it...

He came in not 10 minutes later. Handsome, a bit older, Talin placed him at maybe 35, no ring on his finger. She absolutely refused to take a father from a child. She would make sure when she spoke to him. If indeed he had no real family ties, the he would be hers. Attracting a male's attention never came hard to Talin, be it vampire or human... with her mane of fire and sparkling eyes. She had the look of a sultry vixen, wrapped up in the innocence of a virgin.. or so it seemed. It was the same look that attracted vampires.

He was sitting next to her a few moments later. The conversation started innocently enough. He was not from town, but rather from the larger city to the North. Here looking to buy a tavern of all things. He was single, no children "the right woman just has no come along" he winked at her. Talin reeled him in easily, and within the night, after a couple of drinks and some very leading suggestions by Talin, he was taking her to his room. She usually did not work quite this fast, but she hungered and the craving was growing fast.

Once in his room, the door closing behind them, he pulled her into his arms, seeking a kiss. Talin licked playfully at his lips, but would not let him kiss her, she couldn't. Her fangs were sharp and evident. She would lose her prey that way, and she did not want to fight him. Instead she teased him with her own lips, tugging open his shirt to lick and suckle at his nipples, arousing him, getting his mind of the fact that she would not kiss him. He got playful as well, and soon she was without a top. He picked her up in his arms and laid her to the bed, coming down atop her, his mouth devouring her nipples. Talin allowing herself to enjoy the sensation for the moment, his mouth felt good on her.

Then he made his mistake. He nuzzled her ear, whispering that he wanted to take her, fuck her. She kissed along his throat then, her lips warm, soft, teasing... until she came to the spot, the warmth of his blood just below the surface, sweet, flowing, and Talin struck.... Her fangs bared, she sinks those razored points into His throat, He screaming suddenly at the pain. He pulls back and up, and she looses control of the situation. Her fangs pulled free, she only getting a taste, her prey falls from the bed. Cursing and screaming as he grabs at his neck. Talin was on him like a cat on a struggling deer, throwing him to the floor, she ontop now.
"Don't fight it" she growls as pins his hands and lowers her head, to that bleeding wound, to the blood. Her fangs sink in once more, deep this time, the blood flowing from the screaming man.

Talin drank deeply as he struggles under her. She could feel him weakening, as she drew more and more from him. The taste was warm, thick, and sweet. Her mind screaming that she had just become the monster she had vowed to kill. The evil that she soo hated... yet she could not stop herself as she fed. Each swallow seemed to make her stronger and sated that hollow feeling, that hunger, that craving so deep inside her. She was rocking against him as she fed, almost obscenely. She did not stop until his struggling and his breathing, his blood flow, stopped. She knew then, he was dead.

Pulling back, blood dripping from her lips, she staring at her victim. What had she done. What had she just become. Tears formed in her eyes as she licked her lips. How was she going to deal with this?????

Find that priest.. that hunter. Let him kill her, that was how~

*clap clap clap*

He lay upon the bed, hands raised above his chest clapping lightly as he smiled down to her, his cape draping over the ends of the bedframe.

"Good...good..."

He moves to stand next to her, resting his hand upon her naked shoulder.

"I know what youre thinking of doing...and I would advise against it."

He crouched down, picking her up and cradling her in his arms.

"A wolf does not lament killing it's prey...either should you..this is the nature of our situation."

That said he stepped outside the window and lifted up into the sky, only to settle back down onto the adjacent rooftop some moments later.

"I have more to teach you..."

He licked some of the blood from Talin's moist lips before carefully setting her down.

"You have many new abilities that you are well aware of, some you arent...one of the latter being the 'Mind's Eye'..."

He strode to the roof's edge, lifting his foot to rest on the raised ledge.

"Talin, you can see like a human yes...that is what you are used to...but there is another way...to see the world without restrictions...without restraints your eyes would put on you."

He pointed out to the horizon...smiling down to her.

"There are two people walking down a certain path, holding hands and laughing together...your eyes will not be able to spot them...but you can see them with your Mind's Eye..."

He rested a hand on her shoulder as she walked to the ledge.

"...Give it a try my dear..."

"Mind's eye" she whispers to herself. She felt better having fed, that horrible craving deep inside her was gone for now. She did not want it coming back, but had a feeling it would, over and over again.

"Mind's eye" She closes her eyes, having not see the couple that Maiar spoke of, until she did so. It was then she saw them, nearly clear as day, they were young, and in love. Walking and laughing, thinking they were safe. The darkness did not seem to scare them, Talin wondered why, now knowing that the darkness should be feared.

She felt His hand resting to her bare shoulder, cool and strong, as she watched the couple move further down the path. Her eyes widened as she saw another figure. He darted along the trees beside the unknowing couple, and a moment later he sprung. It was another vampire, a young one from what Talin could tell...

"NO" she screamed, but she had no way of getting to them, no way to help them. The boy tried to fight, as she watched helplessly from where she stood, but the vampire quickly dispatched him and turned his attentions to the girl... "RUN" Talin screamed.. "RUN".. the girl tried to run, but he was on her like a wolf on a deer, her scream turned to one of agonizing pain, then, as Talin watched, the vampire screamed, arching back.

The priest/hunter appeared, driving his stake competely thru the feeding vampire. Talin watching in her mind as he twitched, spasmed, and died, spewing up blood. The girl was still alive, barely, the hunter put her out of her misery as well, slicing her throat open to end it quickly...

Talin could only stare, with her eyes closed...

"why did I let you do this to me" she said softly, lowering her head ~

"Because my dear, you're as tired of being alone as I am."

He wrapped his cape around her, picking Talin up and cradling her in his arms once more.

"You did well by the way...the Mind's Eye, I mean."

He hopped from rooftop to rooftop until finally settling on a very large one belonging to the local bank. It was mostly flat, some small vents here and there with mist rising from them.

"Lets try another of your new 'gifts' shall we?"

He set her down, removing his cape and wrapping it around her body. This is the first time she'd seen him without it around his shoulders, which looked quite a bit larger without the bulky cape.

He took a few steps away from her and smiled.

Transformation...

Suddenly he seemed to be enveloped by darkness, shadows from the banks rooftop reached out to him, seeming to pull him under as if a dark ocean tugging at his body. Within a few moments he was gone and after the shadows had receded a lone white wolf stood in his stead. It had those same dark red eyes of Maiar's.

This is but one of the many forms I can take...you my child, with time, will be able to do so as well...

The wolf moved over to her, licking at her hand. It then backed away, those eyes burning wildly just before it burst into a million tiny bats that split in all directions, flying away into the night sky.

...and another I can take.

He rose from the shadows behind her, letting his hands rest on her shoulders as he licked at her earlobe.

Try the wolf...you just have to concentrate.

"Because my dear, you're as tired of being alone as I am."

~ He was right. She had not realized it until He said it. She was tired of being alone. Of thinking and believing that no one cared. It had eaten a hole in her heart, and thru that hole, He had come, and turned her into, this.

She did not fight Him when He curled that cape around her and lifted her, Talin found herself seeking His touch, seeking to be closer to Him.

Upon a high rooftop they stopped.

She watched in awe as He spoke about, transformation. This was something she knew at least some vampires could do. It was not something she even envisioned herself doing. He did it so easily, the shadows seeming to manipulate His form, changing Him, from man, to wolf, to bats, back to man.

Try the wolf...you just have to concentrate.

His voice teasing her ear, the tickle of His tongue felt. She closes her eyes. Shaking her head *no*. "I can't, please, I can't, I won't Maiar. You've made me into this monster. Please don't make me anymore of a nightmare than I already am."

She wanted to be angry at Him. That was what she really wanted. But she did not have the emotions within her at the moment to do that. She felt more lost than she ever had. More confused. More vunerable. She was supposed to hunt and kill these monsters, vampires. Now she was one, and she was finding herself more dependant on one as well.. ~

"I can't, please, I can't, I won't Maiar. You've made me into this monster. Please don't make me anymore of a nightmare than I already am."

He took a few steps back from her, trying not to let her see him grit his teeth together while his lips formed into a halfway snarl. He finally turned back to face her, letting out a deep and troubled sigh.

"Dont pull away from the night's embrace...it's cool icy breath on your shoulders...We thrive of this, this eternal darkness...dont play yourself the fool...this is where you belong, where you've always belonged."

Maiar walked back up to her, bringing his hand up to the side of her face, his knuckles cracking...his teeth gritted for a moment before he, quite tenderly and fairly unexpectedly, caressed her cheek...a soft and fragile look in those dimly lit red orbs.

"Please, for once love...I am begging you...please, dont treat my existence with such contempt...such hate and fear. I want you with me, by my side in this never ending twilight..."
