Had a morning full of meetings
Enjoyed some good chatter much of the afternoon with a great friend while we both worked..
Spent the evening by a friend watching the Stanley Cup finals
Came home and here I am on Lit for a while before bed
 
Today I
will not wake him up.. it seems to make him cranky :confused:
will call 5 more apartments :mad:
am going to work for an hour :cool:

today i had a face palm moment:

sunday morning while i'm getting groceries, i decided to pick up some graduation cards for someone i thought had graduated from high school recently. (A and B student, my boss and i have known him since he was like 7 years old.) i purchased two; one for my boss to sign and one for me to sign.

cut to today, about an hour ago.

something inside told me, call his father just to verify if he did in fact graduate. i call dad and ask, only to be told that his son has one more year to go.

me: *face palm* oh no... (only i said it like Phoebe from Friends. you'd have to have seen her say it to know what i'm talking about)

but dad tells me that over spring break he took a trip with some other students to visit a few colleges to see if he thought any of them stood out for him. (thing is, i knew that because right before spring break, i remember dad telling me and my boss that while his son was visiting colleges, he and the rest of the family were going to California/Disneyland.) i think that's what threw me off - i thought son was going to visit colleges to decide where to go when the fall semester began this year, but it was in preparation for next year.

still. i felt like an ultra maroon, but i told dad that i would just hang on to the cards until this time next year. at least i didn't sign and date my card - and my boss has the memory of an artichoke so he won't remember that i even mentioned the cards.

Today I am watching Enchanted.
Today I made my first appointment with someone my PCP recommended.
Today I am feeling empty after this mornings very early conversation, this is very hard.
Today I have cold feet and am contemplating a blanket for them.
 
Today I wished my baby sister a Happy Birthday...another year and she will be able to drink...:eek:
