Today I saw the transit of Venus both via projection and for a few brief moments through a telescope that someone had brought for the occasion.
Damn clouds. We had large gaps between the clouds all day and then ten minutes before the transit was supposed to start, everything closed up. We got about one minutes worth of viewing time.
