I'm guessing guilt. He makes a lot of money, and blames the "incentives." Poor bastard.
A year or two on the street begging for his crust of bread should certainly help.

No. My wife and I both have our educations.
She has a masters.
She spends her day telling Doctors what they can and cannot do if they want to get paid by the insurance company or the government.
Yes, it's common to show up on time for the appointment you made a week in advance, and wait an hour while the doctor scurries around seeing all the idiots with zero co-pays and nothing but a cold. You mean there are long waits for health care in the U.S.?
Surely you must be mistaken!!!!

A year or two of working for Uncle Sam would help, too.A year or two on the street begging for his crust of bread should certainly help.

So what do you have against Harvard?
So what do you have against Harvard?
AJ is down on all education until it comes time for him to tell you about his.

No wonder sick peeps have to sit in the waiting room for hours, the doctor is busy posting on a porn board.![]()
It's wasted on welders.
This much is obvious.
I've only ever said you reach a point of diminishing return and all the money in the world will not make the general population less stupid.

The problem with the system is not that there isn't enough government meddling, my dear. But I thought the U.S. health care system is perfect, the best in the world! How could this be?
One hour? Pfft. Last time I went to the doctor, I waited an hour-and-a-half in the waiting room and then another 45 minutes in the examining room after the nurse left.
You just show your insurance card when you check in. If you don't have one, or are there for something not covered, there's a sign that reads, "all patients are expected to pay in full before leaving."More likely is that the doctors and/or hospitals are checking to see if you have enough finances to pay for the visit.
Have any of you mental midgets read Adam Smith?
Here's a BIG part of the problem. In 1982 there were 32,000 applicants to the nations medical schools and 16,567 were matriculated. In 2008 there were 43,000 applicants to the nations medical schools and 17,759 were matriculated. For a 33% increase in applicants, there was a corresponding increase of 6% in the number of graduates.
Who controls the number of wannabe doctors admitted to medical schools?

Fannie Mae...
That's where they got the people who cooked the books that crashed the house that Jack built...

Supply and demand. If doctors were as plentiful as burger flippers, an appendectomy would cost a hundred bucks. And you'd get fries with it.
How many doctors have come here from other countries? I know of a lot from India.
I could TIG weld all of your assholes shut if I really wanted to.
Is there a demand for those services?
