Josh leaned back in his brand new leather chair. Taking a moment to relax inside his new office. Finally after years of hard work he was now an executive. He had start off in the company as an intern, working his way up the ranks through dedication and hard work but the years of struggle were finally paying off. Yesterday he has been given the news. A position had opened up in the company and the job was his if he wanted it. He took the job in a second only haggling slightly over his new salary. It was a little less than what He wanted but the job perks they offered more than made up for it. A company car and a expense budget were just the beginning. He was also given his own office and a personal secretary as well.
His office wasn't the biggest in the building but it was large an spacious. A far cry from the cubical he used to call an office. It was fully furnished the dark mahagoney wood mixing well with the soft carpet. There was a large window accenting the back wall that flooded the room with natural light. It would take a few months for him to personalize his new space. Hopefully he had all the time in the world.
Be turned back facing the window his blue eyed reflection staring back at him. Running his hand through his dark hair he smiled to himself. His sharp angular face curling into a grin as he stared out onto his new view. As he turned away he sighed heavily. He wished he had all day to enjoy his success but there was still work to be done. He needed to give updates on major projects was overseeing and to prepare budget estimates for several more projects still in the design phase. The first order of business though was choosing his new secretary. A good secretary would be essential in the coming months as he adjusted to his new responsibilities. Fortunately, the company had a secretarial pool. A group of temps and part timers already trained within the company, he'd only have to send a memo offering a full time position and organize a few interviews. Soon he would be up and running.
