Top Military Officers Unload on Trump

I'm surprised his followers didn't impeach him for this alone:

“By the time you go to court it takes so long to get the due process procedures,” Trump said.

"I like taking guns away early," he said. "Take the guns first, go through due process second."

~Donald J. Trump (former President, currently under several grand jury investigations)

They have a brain filter to eliminate truth

Ret. Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman has now made it known that he’s among the many Americans who are fed up with obstruction from the Senate GOP after the party’s members in the upper Congressional chamber blocked a bill that would have created an independent commission to investigate the January Capitol riot. Because of the chamber’s filibuster rules, 60 votes from the 100-member body were required to proceed, but only 54 Senators voted in favor of the measure.

God you hate it, don't you.

Well that's what happens when you lose; when you're a loser.

But that's okay, because feeling the pain and the hurt means you're not completely dead.

What you need to keep on doing is mounting this stiff resistance.

You need to make sure that the Russians don't interfere next time, that all the Trumpkins (myself included, I suppose) don't collude with the Russians, and that there is no quid pro quo paid for in Russian rubles. And definitely whatever else you do, impeach the President. And fill up the media with all of these themes from now until the election.

That way, for sure you will get the result that your brilliant genius marketing and strategic planning is certainly guaranteeing with the power of science. God you're brilliant. I'm so impressed.
The Australians seem to have real problems. Still the same old crims maybe? No wonder people tend to stay away from the place!

Joint Chiefs of Staff made plans to resign rather than obey Trump's 'gospel of the Führer'

Senior military officers were so concerned that Donald Trump might drag the military into a coup, that they developed a plan to resign, one by one, rather than accept an order to take part in such a plot.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs General Mark Milley appears to have been particularly concerned about the idea Trump might simply refuse to leave office, and that in his final days in power, Trump would use the military to carry out his schemes. Milley, who took part in Trump’s Bible-waving stroll across Lafayette Square, was disturbed at how Trump inserted sycophants into key roles at the Pentagon following the election and saw this as a sign of an upcoming attempt to maintain power at the point of a gun.

Milley grew so concerned that he discussed the possibility not just with his friends, but with other generals and with members of Congress. “They may try, but they’re not going to f**king succeed,” Milley told his staff. “You can’t do this without the military. You can’t do this without the CIA and the FBI. We’re the guys with the guns.”

Milley had specific concerns about Jan. 6. Trump’s calls for supporters to come to D.C. for a “wild” event, and intelligence showing that militia members were planning to attend in numbers, left Milley fretting Trump was deliberately “stoking unrest” and that he was trying to create an incident that would justify the use of the Insurrection Act along with military force.

Seeing Trump as a “classic authoritarian leader with nothing to lose,” Milley became convinced he’d seen this story before. With Trump calling for a “Million MAGA March” following his loss in November, Milley feared it “could be the modern American equivalent of ‘brownshirts in the streets.” In addition to referencing incidents in which Nazis had used violence to bring Adolf Hitler to power, Milley supposedly referenced the incident that Hitler had staged, then leveraged as a means of using violence against his enemies. “This is a Reichstag moment. The gospel of the Führer.”

Fox News host Laura Ingraham and Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) went after Gen. Mark Milley during a QuakeMedia show. While Ingraham has never served a day in uniform, Banks should know better as a U.S. Navy officer.

"I can't think of any general officer in American history that has done more to destroy the apolitical ethos of the military than General Milley," said Banks on the show.

Banks attacked Milley for attacking a commander-in-chief while President Donald Trump was in office. But, Banks, as a member of the Navy and member of Congress, has been more than eager to do the same, and he's doing so while Biden is the commander-in-chief. Milley at least waited until Trump was no longer in office to speak out.

Banks was blocked from being on the Jan. 6 select committee, in part because there is a concern that he was part of the event.

Ret. Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman is fortunate he wasn't court martialed and sent to Leavenworth.

Alexander Vindman's new book reveals why 'nobody in responsible circles' took Trump seriously on policy

"The fact is that because Trump never provided any policy guidance, nobody in responsible circles—people far senior to me—ever took his remarks seriously," Vindman wrote. "They'd wait to see if anything more substantive confirmed what he'd said, continuing, in the meantime, to pursue agreed-upon directions. Because Tim Morrison, my new boss at NSC, had also directed that we continue on course and not treat anything the president might say as a change in policy, there was really nothing else to do."

When Trump made the now-infamous comment, "I would like you to do us a favor, though," Vindman said he stopped taking notes.

That's when the conspiracy talk began. Trump went off on Ukraine being behind the 2016 election hack, not Russia. It was a Russian propaganda point. He said Zelensky was cheerful, trying to promise Trump that they are open to any kind of cooperation with the United States.

Vindman said he was "growing more unsettled," but started taking notes again. "the other thing," Trump then said, rattling off the conspiracy about Biden's son. He was shocked.

"My glance around the table confirmed that I wasn't the only one taking in what was happening," he wrote. He recalled his new boss, a lawyer, with his eyes darting around to everyone else in the room.

He said that was the point they realized that it was what Giuliani, Sondland and Mulvaney had cooked up.

The Republicans are violently opposed to investigating the violent January 6 Capitol insurrection, where murderous thugs broke in assaulted police officers with the oft stated intent to kill Nancy Pelosi and Mike Pence and to overturn the results of a free and fair national election.

However, they are very much in favor of investigating General Mark Milley who took precautions to keep Trump from declaring himself dictator.

The Republicans aren't even trying to be subtle anymore. They're waging war against the United States of America right out in the open!!!

The only murder that day was a trigger-happy cop who shot an unarmed girl in the throat.

Those barricades which the rioters used to beat police were the first lines the rioters crossed when breaking the law, including the insurrectionist chick who took one for the team.
