And quite often a transsexual and a transgender are not the same thing. The transsexual term has widely different definitions depending on the age of the person using the term and the context it is being used in.

Trans is an umbrella term that has so many variants under it that often people who are not of the community simply get it wrong as they don't understand the terminology.

Looking for Assistance for Novel

I've been working on a novel for the last couple of years, and one of the primary plot lines deals is a straight cis guy develops a crush, which quickly turns to more than a crush on a girl and then finds out she's trans.

My story is told in third person, point-of-view chapters, and because she's a main character, some of the chapters are through her point of view.

I'm looking for a transgender female to communicate with, to run some of these ideas by her, because if a trans person wouldn't find these characters believable, then obviously the story won't work. I've been researching online a lot, to make this character real, and it's important to me that the reader believes in her, and also loves her.

For the cis-male character, this is not a fetish thing. He's a straight male whose feelings are strong before he finds out, and then he has to deal with those feelings and the realities of what a relationship (either friend or romantic) will mean in his world.

While i've written erotic short stories for literotica, this novel is not that. This is not primarily a sex story, though because it's partially a love story, romantic feelings, and sexual desires do come into play.

If there are any trans girls out there that would be willing to communicate here, or by email, it would be very much appreciated. I've got no other ulterior motives.

I think that's very normal. I know for myself that at different points in transition I've been obsessed with different physical attributes for various periods.
