Lance had been in the service for almost ten years now. He had joined the marines fresh out if high school and had never looked back. The core had turned a 6' bean pole into a thick muscles man. Cut, toned, sharp of eye, and keen of mind. His short blond hair was buzzed short and his green eyes were keen and bright at 28.
And he was hot
It was their 3rd month down in the forests of Brazil. The weather was always muggy and hot, and te sun always shown brightly. They were on a guard detail for a dignitary who had been seamed a desire able target by a local guerrilla group. He was powerful and friendly to the states. An that's why Lance was here.
He didn't mind though. The fires was amazing and the locals wet welcoming and fantastic. Especially Amelia
The nurse at what passed for the medical center out here was a knockout. And he loved every time one of his guys got hurt. He got to see her
Their exchanges were typical endearing cuts and jabs at him and his 'jarhead' while he prodded her lack of technology and backward ways
But the banter was always playful. And that's why today was going to be good. It was him
He had slipped as snagged his arm on a jagged rock, getting a good gash on his forearm, something that would need a few stitches.
He stepped into the small center
"Hello. Amelia?"
