Trump is already ahead of the game, he understands what others don’t. The future of Greenland is a choice between us and the Russians and Chinese. Europe is not part of this equation. Denmark’s control is nominal at best; they’ve even passed a law allowing Greenland to vote on independence, acknowledging their limited sovereignty over the territory.

Trump is sundowning. Greenland is less at risk than, say, the Baltic republics, but NATO seems fine defending them without annexing their territory. If you want to rearrange borders, why not start with making Alaska part of Canada?

Free universal healthcare.
Free dental care.
Free education, all the way including universities.
SU - money while studying, you get paid to study when you are above 18 years old.
Social security.

And so on.

They live in a harsh environment, they have been moved against their will. (The Thule camp, that the American wanted to build.. the Inuits apparently lived the wrong place.)

And the fact that their country got called a big lump of ice and a burden that Denmark should be happy to get rid off.

Greenland is of strategic importance from the perspective of early warning and defense of Russian and Chinese missiles; as well as ships and subs traversing the Norwegian Sea.

I have never disagreed with the fact that Greenland is of extreme importance.

The US of A and Denmark have always agreed, and worked together.
