Trump Thinking About Putting USAID Under The State Department

99% of the American people have no idea we are sending their money all over the world to fund the nonsense that we are. When they find out what is being spent and on what, they will want to shut this crap down.
You didn't actually respond to my comment.

Donald Trump barely won 50% of the vote. His approval ratings are historically low. He's getting no honeymoon like most new presidents do,
He won in an electoral landslide. That is what matters. Your candidate was an absolutely clueless nut with no rational message or national guidance.

What I'm getting a kick out of are the morons running to the courts to keep their pockets lined. They're not going anywhere with that tactic.

We don't want to spend our money forcing racist DEI, LGBTQT, and gender madness on the rest of the World before they can receive money for food and other necessities. In fact, feeding the World isn't what the American people want to spend their hard-earned tax money on.

The President has vast authority in this arena. Our foreign aid is required by law to spend money that aligns with the national interest. They illegally claim they are apolitical and not subject to State Department directives or foreign policy goals, which is a lie. This issue will be corrected by the Trump administration.

Never mind - you did respond to my comment. You confirmed it

Determining that taxpayers hard earned money is spent wisely and efficiently is antithetical to the democratic party creed.

USAID is a massive pool of waste and corruption and should be shut

Thirty years ago, The Heritage Foundation penned a piece titled, “Abolish the Wasteful Agency for International Development,” arguing that the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) had failed miserably on its core mission to promote economic development at overseas spots, and instead had become a cesspool of waste and corruption and more waste.

That was 1995. Now it’s 2025, and not much has changed. In fact, if anything, USAID has grown even worse.

According to USASpending.gov, taxpayers have shelled out billions upon billions upon multiple billions of dollars through the years — specifically, $37.5 billion in fiscal 2021; more than $47.76 billion in fiscal 2022; more than $50 billion in fiscal 2023; almost $44.2 billion in fiscal 2024; and so far, for fiscal 2025, another $22.58 billion. That last one has been stopped — thankfully.

That's the Washington Times, you idiot. Quoting the motherfucking zero-cred Heritage Foundation, yet! Ignore it.

A dirty little not so secret is all of that funding re. DEI that Trump suspended and the proponents ran to the court and got an injunction. The administration is STILL not sending that money out and it's unlikely they will no matter what that podunk little judge orders. They're just going to go, "fuck you, appeal it up the line."

You see, all of those monies are DISCRETIONARY spending with no congressional mandate or imperative. So based on separation of powers doctrine, go fuck yourself judge.

Stop with the bullshit. Are the facts stated in error? You wouldn't know because you're mentally lazy and have to hide behind a blanket statement that all sources other than yours aren't credible. You are the one lacking credibility.

If you can prove the numbers are false then cite your source. If not..... then STFU.

He's lost in the labyrinth of his delusions. His is a world where truth is a whisper lost in the drone of his defiance. Reality knocks, and he rushes to barricade the gates of reason. No proof is enough, no argument sufficient—like a ship adrift in the Sea of Denial, never to see the shores of self-awareness and forever manning the rails of his stubborn illusion. He Captains on!

I can't fathom why people would be so against finding and eliminating waste, fraud and abuse unless they're lining their pockets with cash or could be prosecuted for W/F/A.

Musk does not have the authority to do what he is doing.

And EXACTLY what is Musk doing? Be very specific.
Blocking agency employees.
Accessing personal information of government employees.
Accessing government payment information.

Just three top level things.

He has also provide security level access to people who have not been cleared to have it.

Did he and his team hack into those systems?

That's bullshit. A search reveals the following:

President Donald Trump has appointed Elon Musk as a "special government employee" to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), with a mission to reduce wasteful spending and enhance governmental efficiency. In this role, Musk and his team are reviewing various federal agencies, including the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Musk has been critical of USAID, referring to it as a "criminal organization" and advocating for its dissolution.

Recently, Secretary of State Marco Rubio was appointed as the acting administrator of USAID, with the aim of reorganizing or potentially shutting down the agency under the directive of Musk's DOGE team.

Musk is leading the "US Digital Service" department. This is a department which is directly under the authority of the President and existed prior to Trump taking office in his first term after being established in 2014.

Musk's appointment only lasts 18 months.

He is a legit Gov employee with full administrative department powers who is employed for at most the next 18 months or at the will of the President. Anyone who says he's not legit is a liar.

That sounds about right to me but 1174 long-suffering from degrees of rectal myopia, says he has no authority.

And add to that Musk has a fully vetted security clearance.

Your search isn't relevant to whether he has Constitutional authority to do what he is doing.

Doge is a Congressional act set up to address software concerns. They changed the name recently, but it does not actually change their authority.
