Trump Thinking About Putting USAID Under The State Department

Your search isn't relevant to whether he has Constitutional authority to do what he is doing.

Doge is a Congressional act set up to address software concerns. They changed the name recently, but it does not actually change their authority.
USAID was initiated with an EO, Musk's appointment is constitutional, unlike Jack Smith.

He has an authority under the appointment.

He does not have authority or clearance to do what he is doing.

USAAid is now under the State department, which is under Rubio's direction.

JFC....you guys cheer on a dictator and a guy who is supposed to be making software better

Constitutional authority????? Are you fucking delusional?

That sounds about right to me but 1174 long-suffering from degrees of rectal myopia, says he has no authority.

Some people refuse to accept reality. I have no idea why, because it only hurts them in the long run.

You can be absolutely certain that those screaming the loudest are those that had their hands in the cookie jar.

It's hilarious how you MAGAts run through buzzwords.

Did ya already forget about MS13 and pet buffets?

"Today's buzzword is 'NGO.'"

No we did not forget. We are watching them identify themselves all over America. Tonight they aren't blocking roads, they are attacking the police.

Where is MS13 attacking police right now?
Future deportees are protesting in several states. If they don't like the US they should leave.
If they are taking a day off of work to protest, I hope they get fired. If they are here on obiden's grift they are acting last resort.
What else I notice is the state and local gov are not really saying anything. Just sitting by and letting them damage the city and disrupt commerce. Looks way more costly than any tariff you have been fretting about.

I agree with you that insurrectionists on j6 who took the day off to attempt a coup on trump's grift should be fired.

Grift - another word you don't understand.

I do not think the demise of USAID is anything to worry too much about. However, whether it is a good thing to give Rubio control of the cash is dubious. With all those department inspectors being booted, who is going to audit these funds?

For now they will be audited. They were not before. Another democrat gets elected and all bets are off. The one for you two for me process will begin again.

OMG We have USAID to blame for one of the worst things other than Biden that ever happened to the USA

Why is a leftist Argentine media company crying about losing American funding the same week USAID pauses operations?

USAID ordered to shut down by Friday as thousands of relief workers sent packing from more than 100 countries

The United States Agency for International Development has been ordered to shut down by Friday following Elon Musk's effort to dismantle the government relief service he labeled a 'criminal organization.' The State Department is now working diligently to recall thousands of staff members in more than 100 countries across the world, two sources familiar with the discussions told Reuters. The employees were told by Peter Marocco, who was appointed by President Donald Trump, that all USAID staff members and their families should be recalled back to the United States by Friday - though that deadline could be delayed.

If the State Department failed to bring home the foreign employees, the staff would be evacuated by the US military, according to CBS News. USAID employees in many bureaus at the agency's headquarters in Washington DC also received a memo that they are being placed on administrative leave, according to PBS NewsHour correspondent Lisa Desjardins. It said they must be available to report to work 'if directed to do so,' and must be available by phone and email during normal business hours. But they are 'not to enter USAID premises, access USAID systems or attempt to use your position or authority with USAID in any way without my prior permission or prior permission of a supervisor in your chain of command,' wrote Marocco, the newly-appointed deputy administrator for the agency.

By Monday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced he was taking over as acting head of the agency - which he said was 'completely unresponsive' as he accused staff members of being 'unwilling to answer simple questions' about its programs. He also informed Congress in a letter about the pending reorganization of the agency, saying some parts of USAID might be absorbed by the State Department while others will be completely abolished. That same day, USAID employees said they were locked out of the agency's computer systems. Those still in the system received messages to their work emails saying 'at the direction of Agency leadership' the headquarters building 'will be closed to Agency personnel on Monday, Feb. 3.'
