These people aren't looking for "justification", they are looking at upsetting the status quo which they see, right or wrong, holds little to no benefit for them.

The Tea-Party was only the first wave, which propelled Palin onto the GOP's failed 2008 bid, which brought us the circus freak show of the 2012 GOP primaries, and now the big, angry white elephant in the china shop, Trump.

The alt-right is a demographic that isn't going away anytime soon.

If that (or any) demographic feels alienated enough and gets desperate enough, it won't make a damn bit of difference if you or anyone else thinks they're "justified". They'll end up trying to tear the entire system down and to hell with the consequences.
And it won't matter about how 'smart' or not 'they' are. In fact, 'smart' is a definite disadvantage for an angry mob hell bent on destruction. They'll do it because it they can.
