The thread was a massive help for me and I had a very special "support buddy" too. As Perdita said, having individuals, and even a group supporting and encouraging you, helps no end.
There's loads of tips in that thread. The best one I can give you right now? In the beginning, take it one hour at a time. Then one day at a time, and so on. Also, drink water, especially after you eat something. I think it was Lew that told me that one. As he said, a lot of the craving to smoke comes from taste (wanting to smoke after eating, etc), eliminate that with water.
