I went through a lot of contractors before I found the one I have now. He's not the most popular (he has attitude) or the cheapest but he gives me a price and date and in five years has never missed either one. In return as soon as he turns over the keys I turn over the balance owed. The man and his crew are on my Christmas list.
 
I can live with a bit of arrogance if the contractor can perform on time. And, if there is to be a delay, I'm informed early so that I have apart in the decision making and planning.

The snow is falling this morning and it's now 3" deep sitting on the deck rail. Has winter come? It's Alaska, it always does.
 
My trim/cabinet fuck is an arrogant fuck. There's only room for one person like that on the job, and Wat be he. The little Latina Vieja came up to see how the top floor is coming yesterday. We all had a nice chat - in Spanish. She was talking more to my helper and the painter. They said where they all came from. Then a few seconds later, she told the painter that where he came from the women has nice asses and no tits, and that where she came from the women have big tits and no asses. Funny thing is, being as those are two of Wat's favorite subjects, he understood.

I was driving to work and it looked like a small place or a large drone was going to land on the eastbound interstate lane. Then its white ass appeared as it appeared to be thinking about strafing cars. It pulled up a bit and became an eagle, and there seemed to be a fresh killed deer on the left shoulder. I think she was swooping in for breakfast and forgot the cars. It was a big old girl. Hope the roadkill was delectable.


We're outta here. We're in and out of apartments but the pinche painters have sprayed the doors the dreadful orange that manglement wants. I don't want any on my clothes and they don't want Wat tracks in their fresh paint.

Happy Monday. Slept okay. Kitten is on a tear. Got some pants in the dryer. Most of the clean laundry is put away. We get kind of an Injun Summer sort of week. May be 80 come Thursday. There's a busy paper trash bag in here for some stuff to be sorted. Some cat has dug a hole through the side.
