There was a series that focused on abductions in Alaska, but the network decided not to renew it. A lot of the stuff was very true and some other parts bullshit like a lot of stuff on the TV.
 
Like Alaska we have a lot of remote, tree filled areas, lots of rural areas where grass grows very long, and snow deep enough that things disappear. The world thinks Canadians are nice, we aren't. We're polite and there is a very big difference. People are people wherever you go and a big area with a small population tends to have small unreliable pohlease. I'm on a kick right now because there is a suspected serial killer in the area and the pohlease aren't doing much because the women were known drug users. Some of our pohlease need to be added to the 200k.

Happy Tuesday!!! Slept okay, but I'm awake too damned early. Sleep has been kinda weird lately, but at least it's there.


Talked to the boss yesterday about my break which broke. We'll revisit this when time comes, but I floated taking off around Xmas. That'll at least get us off this floor and into the easier part of the second one.

I had my doubts about it, mostly because I never get to see the Karma Truck makes its deliveries. And I have watched the well meaning get trampled by users and no-goods. The world is peculiar and difficult to make sense of sometimes.

e/t/a: I'm inclined not to argue with the Buddha as I feel like he considered what fell out of his mouth, as most excellent teachers seem to do. On the other hand, and with 2500 years in between, something might have gotten botched. Or, I might be missing something, which is quite possible, too.

I think you may be right about Buddha's wisdom, the world has changed a lot since his days, nothing is the same, so maybe in his days, it was true. Maybe I need to take a bit more time off and get some sleep. I think I'll try that.
 
I suspect that what is different is the perception of pain and happiness that you and I have versus many of the rest of the planet. You and I would tend to flatten the sine wave to keep things more even keeled and many others milk that high amplitude shit for all the drama that they can. Pain means something's up - right and wrong have little to do with it. We're ecstatic when we're content. We produce something, we help others, and we don't issue press releases so we don't have to be believing all that shit. Them bitches need to keep all of their drama llamas over there >>>>>>

Had a good chat with the boss this morning. It seems the I Quit Boy left a bigger mess over there than he, the boss, realized. Wat, however, is unsurprised and non plussed. Mostly, this is none of Wat's business until Wat is assigned it.


The plumbers are making good headway on their lavatory carriers, but what a pain in the nutsack those are. Anyway, after we went over how best to install them and what we figured the inspector will be happy with, we'll be in good shape. The sheetrock guy is coming tomorrow to fix the walls and the plumbers can put the lavvies up on Friday and the whole pissing match will be sorted out.


There may be a Thursday off later this month after all - and not the 29th.
