TSCLT 12.0: The pantheon hates a pussy 2.0

Happy Thursday!!! Slept okay. Kitten has already knocked some stuff on the floor. Their box is empty. I think the sides are too low on this one.

Got two appointments with two subs to look at my mess. Here's hoping to increase the competence of our staff, and the numbers of hands doing.

More coffee for me . . . .

The problem is not materialism as such. Rather, it is the underlying assumption that full satisfaction can arise from gratifying the senses alone. Unlike animals whose quest for happiness is restricted to survival and to the immediate gratification of sensory desires, we human beings have the capacity to experience happiness at a deeper level which, when achieved, can overwhelm unhappy experiences.

Home. The s'ghetti sauce is more gooder after the doctor (up) visited it last night.

Behold J-571 (aka SJN-571) today, which still maintains the impression of sweeping grandeur and great elegance. Newport and Rollston skillfully combined the designer’s eye and the coachbuilder’s craft to imbue the body with a cohesive, streamlined appearance in keeping with the trends of the mid 1930s. There’s no fussiness. Brightwork is limited to a few punctuating details. The fenders are low and skirted, and the body is wider, which allows it to extend out and down over the chassis rails, enclosing them. In fact, the bottoms of the front doors are notched so that they may close over the frame. The observer’s eye is naturally led from the front of the car to its tail by a body molding that begins on the hood, just behind the grille surround, and continues rearward and down to terminate at the bullet-like taillamps sourced from Chrysler Corp. The graceful, skirted rear fender echoes this line. Newport’s original sketches depict the car with full wheel covers and blackwall tires, which give a lower appearance aided in no small part by its 17-inch-diameter wheels. Dark sienna brown paint and a tan interior and convertible top complete the car’s subtle, sophisticated look.

Happy Friday!!! Slept okay. The cats seem to get up at 4 now. The last 3 mornings, I have looked at a digital clock that says 0400, and the girlcat is sitting there looking at me when it happens. She must be up to something.

Wat got his time off/comp time thingie worked out with the boss yesterday. When he comes home on the afternoon of the 21st, he will not be due back to work until the 2nd. That'll be a nice break. And there's a free anvil body down the way of the Xmas trip which might merit a visit.

And there's coffee in the pot . . . .

The real basis of Buddhism is full knowledge of the truth of reality. If one knows this truth then no teaching is necessary. If one doesn't know, even if he listens to the teaching, he doesn't really hear.

Had a client call this morning, what he wants is a special order, I can get it but it will take at least a month, maybe two. I filled out the order request, sent it electronically and he signed it and then he called and asked if I could overnight it once it arrives so he can have it before Christmas. We started all over at the beginning and now I'm at my desk, drinking coffee and avoiding work.

All the fucking time. We had the wheels meeting this morning. Everyone has decided that the elevator cunts have tossed us a fucking. The VP was fixin' to call them after the meeting. Meanwhile, I found a small elevator company quite by accident on the way home - I passed their truck. I'll give 'em a holler Monday. Here's guessing that no one will get upset by that.

Home. Grazing a bit. May wander out, may stay in. We'll see.

Have to say that a short layover at Paine Field at Everett is quite delightful. Not crowded. Nice bar. Relaxing loungers.

Happy Sunday!!! Up for a bit now. There were racing cats a little while ago, but they have quieted down. Rain headed this way later this morning. Making a shooping list. Got to go help out the good doctor later - working on budgeting. Sounds like a good rainy afternoon activity.

Coffee is a good morning activity, for those of you who want to see tomorrow . . . .

Coffee in the quiet of the morning is the best time. The lights of the tree are turned down and there's no storm outside as predicted.

I was noticing the new year reflections thread and I thought earlier today about how people "reflect" at this time of year. I think that's shite, really. We should reflect as time passes. Daily, maybe once a week. The year marker is so fucking arbitrary as to be meaningless in my mind. If a person is going to be present, then the reflection should be part of the presence. Just sayin'.

I like this kitten:

Happy Monday. A week until xmas. It is hoped that in 168 hours, Wat will have wrapped up loading the truck and will be searching to corral that damned kitten so we can head down to see the kids. Slept okay in spite of split shift sleeping. A handle needs to be gotten on that. Anyway.

The oil is changed in the truck. Tires air seems okay, but we'll top that off this coming weekend. The company truck needs an oil change, too. On them, of course.

I got a bag of Black Rifle coffee to try. The name is fun. The number of grinds is daunting. The price is outrageous. The coffee is only okay.

Speaking of, our GB drama thread seems to have been pulled by manglement, but there's still a rule breaker Over There that they're conveniently ignoring. :D Our manglement? Say it ain't so!!!
