understandable...but isn't this one of your favorite times of year...you know when you open all the windows and doors and just let the wind blow through your house...it just feels refreshing to me....plus there are those long warm nights with the ceiling fan on getting a bit too sweaty with some one and taking a shower before crawling back into bed with them

Yeah...I could live with this weather forever...mid 60's low 70's no humidity....It's wonderful. I totally sympathize with those who live in the northern parts of the united states this winter....I lived there for many moons....22 winters....then got the hell out of dodge...but I also know that in about a month the heat down here is going to be damn near unbearable...so I'm enjoying this weather while it's here....a little too cold to keep the windows open at night...if only I had someone to cuddle up with....

How far south are you to have 60's and 70's but still no humidity? I am jealous. If it gets warm here in the deep south if feels like its raining because there is so much humidity. i came home from school in shorts yesterday and when i woke up ths morning it was freezing. I just want the weather to be static for a week.
I would offer my warm bed but there is a little puppy dog that would threaten to chew you up before she gave up her spot

I'm pretty far south...about ten minutes from the florida border....so it's gonna get pretty damn hot down here in a few weeks...but right about now the weather is pretty perfect.

Lynxie...my mom is feeling about the same way you are right now. I think if she sees one more inch of snow she might have a breakdown. She came down to visit me a few weeks ago and didn't want to leave. She tried to convince herself that because she saw a robin here in Georgia, spring is right around the corner in Massachusetts...I didn't have the heart to tell her that down here, the robins never left....

I'm about to make a very large, very wide generalization here...that said...is it me or does it seem that some of the posters on the How To thread and the HT Cafe have become ruder and less patient over the past month or so? I've been reading some threads and it just seems to me that people used to be a lot more polite when responding to other posters that they might not have necesarily agreed with....like I said..huge generalization...but am I imagining it??

Man I am SO SO SOOOO bored. I actually have about 2.5 million things I SHOULD be doing right now...but I can't...just can't. I think I've gotten to that point in the semester where all the information is just running together in my mind....just a big massive jumble of historical facts....I think I need a good loving...take my mind offa things

Here's to early twenties and the opportunity to change it all if you want to.
I didn't get too far thru my community college and had to drop because it's tough to balance a full time job with part time classes and rent all in complete chronological/fiscal syncronization. Especially when the classes you need start just in time for you to get off work and get there, but there's the instability of the greater sacramento area's transportation network. I mean, they shut down freeways for a day dammit! So what did I do? Moved, far away. Why, because I could! I think if this opportunity came earlier or later in my life I would've rejected, but how often does the offer come along to move 2500 miles and be taken care of come along? so woot to family and rant to the bad habits I left behind!

I couldnt agree more. I have gotten to a point where i can't study, i can't read journals and my teaching more resembles directed rambling. I think if everyone at some point in the middle of the semester could have a hot and deeply erotic interlude if only for a night with a person who was in the same situation it would solve a lot of academia's short comings. i am not supporting one night stands but if thats what it takes....
