Mind control stories where it’s just magic doesn’t tend to do much for me. What I tend to like is either a process of the control getting greater (like someone gradually becoming a drone) or where it’s closer to real hypnotism.
For example:
Wife has a home invasion fantasy but she and hubby worry about someone calling the cops if they get too elaborate, so instead they use a series of hypnosis sessions to give her a trigger. She hears the trigger and whoever is in the room with her is an intruder who she must be sexually submissive towards to remain safe. It doesn’t last indefinitely, she is immediately broken out of the “intruder” actually becomes dangerous. and she remembers the encounter afterwards but it’s a way they can spice things up.
BUT: what happens when a friend who isn’t in one the scheme says her trigger? For example, wife’s best friend says it by accident, and gets freaked out. Wife explains things…but she wants to see what her friend will do so she lies about being able to remember the encounters. Sure enough, next time they’re alone, friend says the trigger phrase
