Two Keyblades, One Lock ((Closed))

Isabelle had traveled to Twilight Town to see her distant cousin Kairi. But it turned out, she had gone somewhere with her boyfriend Sora. Sora and Kairi were big news. Her whole family knew. And suddenly Kairi..became everyone's favorite. She helped save the different universes after all.. And during all of this. Isabelle had just been left at home. Told by her parents to keep away from the heartless. not that she couldnt blame everyone. Kairi had so much more potential then she had. She was more beautiful in most people's books...Just once..she wanted to get something for her own. Kairi had everything...When Isabelle was left with nothing. Letting a tear fall off her face, she was grabbed suddenly. Not even able to scream for help....Suddenly. She was in a dark cell. Panic surged through her as she got up and ran over to the bars. "Let me out!" She thought the heartless were gone...but no..this was just the beginning

Riku sighed and twirled his Keyblade as he sat atop the clock tower in Twilight Town.

Sorasorasora...why do you have the true keyblade? Why are you the hero? Horrible, unbidden thoughts pervaded his mind. But that's why. I'm thinking like this. Obviously, jealousy drives the true keyblade away...

Glancing down, he saw a girl being grabbed and taken into the shadows.

"Shit!" he murmured, running down the tower and slicing at the Heartless, but more surrounded him until suddenly...

"Ah!" His back slammed into the hard-packed dirt back wall of the cell, driving all air out of him. Looking up, he saw the girl from before. She was so beautiful...even with the dirt-wait a minute, Isabelle?!

"Isabelle, what are you doing here?!" he asked, recognizing Kairis cousin.

Heaing someone yell, Isabelle looked up quickly and blinked a few times. This boy looked very familiar. But then she saw the hair, and those eyes. Her eyes widened as she stood. "Riku? Is that you?" she asked surprised. Riku had been with her the last tinem she came to see Kairi. The four of them hung out for a long time. Isabelle had to say...she found Riku much more attractive. And he was so kind. Even under that tough act....She could feel herself blushing more then anything. Embarrassed. She looked down. "H-H-How did you get in here?" she asked concerned as she walked a bit closer to him. He had changed since the last time she had seen him. He was about a...year older?

Riku looked at her and smiled slightly. It was small, but in Riku smile it was Sora's big ass goofy grin.

"Uh...I saw the Heartless taking you so um I jumped down and they took me too..." he said, stumbling slightly over the words as he saw her blush. "Anyway...these bars...hm..."

He stood up a little shakily and pushed himself off the wall before stumbling over to the bars.

"Hiya!" he shouted as he tried to cut through the bars with Souleater. The Keyblade bounced off with a great metallic 'PING.'

Falling backwards onto his ass, he looked around sheepishly. "I don't think we're getting out that way."

Blinking, she saw how he seemed to smile that big goofy smile she loved so much. Also, he seemed to manage to stutter a few times. In an atempt to get out of here, he banged his keyblade against the bars. The metal pinged, and he flew backwards onto his bum. Concerned once again. She rushed over to him.

"Dont hurt yourself." she said with her own sheepish smile. It is true. Isabelle had grown a bit since last time. But..she was still the same caring person as before...Maybe not as beautiful as Kairi though. Looking at the bars...She thought for a moment. If only...she had a keyblade. Isabelle didnt want Riku to get hurt...She cared about Riku a lot. I guess you could call it..A crush?

Shaking her head, she looked once more back at him. "You always were so rash." she said and laughed gently. Seeing the lock on the bars. She hatched an idea. "Wait here..." she whispered. Gettin gup. She reached her arms ouside the bars. Then grabbed a hair pin from her pocket. Carefully, she placed it in there. Luckily it was not one of those enchanted keys. It clicked and she lifte the lock. Turning around, she gave him a brillantly bright smile. Then a wink. "Coming? Im not leaving without you Riku."

Riku blinked.

"Uh...okay let's get the hell outta here!" he said smiling and rolling to his feet. He put and arm around her gently and held out his keyblade to the open air as he slowly began to trudge forward cautiously.

"Stay with me I have to protect you."

Feeling the closeness. She blushed and nodded shyly. "Thanks...Riku..." she whispered. Hoping nothing would jump at them.. She couldnt handle this. How could Kairi? then again, Kairi had always been the brave one. Shakin gher head. She stayed by Riku's side. It felt..safer with him around...But she wished she could fight. Hearing something behind him. Her eyes widened. The ant liek creature grabbed at her feet. Making her cry out.

Riku spun and embedded his weapon into the creature as it grabbed at her. "Are you okay?"

He bend down to check her leg and looked up...he realized she had a skirt on and quickly stood up.

"Uh...looks fine!"

her eyes widened in complete and total embarrassment. "Um...Thanks.." she said flustered.At least he didnt stay to enjoy the view. Wanting to help Riku, she closed her eyes. Just praying for something, she fdidnt care about herself. She just wanted to help. Suddenly, something began to shine. soon, a beautiful keyblade appeared in her hand. Isabelle looked t it, and knew the name right away.

"Cosmos...." she whispered and held it in front of her. The crystals glowed faintly. Sparkling beautifully...Finally she could do something to help. Hearing more coming. She grasped it. And turned around. Effortlessly slicing each heartless. soon the ones in armor showed up. The Cosmos was very useful. It suited her grace, and...it seemed made for her.

Riku shrugged the intimate moment off like he would an uncomfortable coat and turned back to the enemy. As he raised his weapon, a brilliant glow enveloped him and blinded him for a moment.

"Cosmos, huh?" he asked chuckling. "Alright! I'll get them from the back, you distract them up here!"

With a quick run, he was over the heads of the heartless and landed behind them, but their attention was totally on Isabelle.

He ran forward and dispatched one with a quick stab but then...

"Agh!" he shouted as all of the other three spun and smacked him in the head, sending him into the wall where a blood-curling CRACK made him slump unconscious.

Turningaround, she heard Riku and her eyes widened. Anger surged through her. "Dont touch him!" she yelled and slashed each one. Until finally she was panting, out of breath and knelling down to check on Riku...

She could only hear him breath a bit. Moving his hair from his eyes she felt her teaers begin to escape. "Oh Riku..." she whispered. Feeling terrible. She placed her hand on his cheek. Wishing he would wake up. Not knowing what else to do for him. She gently leaned in and kissed his lips. Hoping he would wake up.

Riku was falling, falling through darkness... Was he dying? No, now he was rising...he felt a light pulsing it's warmth over him and remembered King Mickey's words: "Even in the deepest darkness, there will be a light..."

He woke up startled, feeling gentle lips against his. At first he was surprised but then...he melded into it, pulling her towards him and fully kissing her...

"Yeah, let's go," he said and ran forward. He ducked into another corridor, pulling her along, as he saw Heartless coming down that particular one. Then he went into another one that had a gate at the end and...

"Freedom!" he shouted as he dragged her out and onto a plain, looking over and seeing a town. The Heartless wouldn't come out.

"We did it!"

With a laugh she ran with him. Feeling the grass under her feet, she sat down and looked. The four of them used to come up here....Then again Sora and Kairi always played together. "Riku...why are the heartless back?" she asked concerned. "Didnt...Sora get rid of them?" she asked once more. Cosmos disappeared out of her hands...Isabelle hoped it would come back...Isabelle was still a bit dazed... Riku loved her? It was just odd...

"Well," Riku began, putting his hands together and sitting down. "A heartless is made whenever darkness takes over a heart, so...it's not difficult."

Shrugging, he pulled her backwards and laid there on the grass with her, holding her hand.

"Comfy?" he asked in a whisper, holding her close against him.

Listening intently, she made a slight gasping noise as she was pulled back onto the grass. Soon, she lfet herself snuggled up so him. She moved her head so it laid against his chest. She could hear the soft beat of his heart. Noding quietly, Isabelle looked up at him. "Very." Thinking about it...she didnt mind the heartless so much...Not now...

"Wait!" Moving up over him, she looked at him with a questioning look. "I thought...you loved Kairi.." Isabelle whispered sadly.

Riku smiled down at her and stroked her hair.

"I care about her, yes. But not love in the way you're thinking," he told her. "Wouldn't you give anything to save her? I mean, she's your cousin. I didn't see Sora as strong enough. Now I know he's stronger than I'll ever be."

He pulled her up higher on him and kissed her neck gently.

"But he's nowhere near as lucky as I am..."
