UGH!! (sorry to mad to think of a good subject line!!)

Oh give me a damn break she lied that's what kids do. Your friend wanted to believe she was eighteen. She is a dumb kid
he is responsible for his actions. Dreamer is right on there is something more to this then what you are telling or he is telling. Shame on the girl for lying and shame on the adults in her life for not being just that adult.

No problem Lasher. I mean it was bad enough when I thought he was 18 and her 14. But for him to be 28 and not know what her age is......That is just plain stupid!
What could a 28 year old have in comon with a 14 year old?

think back to your "just hanging out" days...did your parents know EVERY SINGLE FRIEND that you had? Did you meet every parent of every friend that you had? I can answer with a resounding NO to both of these questions.

Yes, my parents did know who I was HANGING OUT with and I knew the parents of the friends I hung with. Could be because it was a fairly small town (1,200 pop.) or just the way things were in the mid-70's. Did they know EVERY SINGLE FRIEND I had? No. There were kids that I went to school with that I would consider a friend, but I didn't hang out with them after school. Mostly because it was a rather spread out, rural school district that incorporated 4 towns and probably covered 30+ miles (we still only had about 600 kids in school).

When I said I could answer with a NO I meant for me..not for everyone..I guess that was unclear. And reading it over, I can see that.

I went to a school that had about 2000 students. My parents didn't even meet my boyfriend (of two years) parent's until after we broke up...LONG after we broke up. And they only saw him when he picked me up and dropped me off. That was it. I had a lot of friends and I think they only knew one of them. I never brought anyone over here, I was too embarrassed. They never asked, so it never came up.

Sorry for the confusion.
