I hope we do actually get some proper cold weather this year, I've a load of proper winter gear ready to go, plus I've a couple of good Pea Coats for wearing to work.

I dont care. I'll wear my big coat when I feel like it. You lot can play all oh I'm not cold. But I will be toasty.
That's entirely fair, people have different sensitivities towards the cold.
I'm looking forward to busted out the warm stuff and it's not like I'm one of those walking around in shorts now.

Sailor coats!!! Hahaha, with a beanie and you would fit right into the streets of Copenhagen. 😁

i don't ski... but i do have a "standing and watching winter sports" parka

See!!! That is quite important - the parka/coat/jacket needs some other qualities compared with a regular city-winter-coat/jacket.

... It is a science to be dressed comfortably!
Not too warm (=sweaty and then you get cold!)
Not too cold (=you are already cold, poor thing.)

Layers and several jackets/coats/parkas. 🤩

layers!

then there are the Buffs... normal, fleece, double fleece, windproof...

the parka is good as, if you are seated, you can tuck it under your bum and, if the weather is not too cold, unzip it and wrap it over you. it also keep certain parts of you covered from arctic winds (doesn't matter what direction, it's from the arctic).

But if you want to sit.. Then it needs to be waterproof (I recommend water column pressure 20.000) and breathable, unless you fancy to freeze to ice inside your parka.
(Arctic winds, they will get inside your clothes.. do not be sweaty! )

Aye! The buffs. Not scarfs, that is a city thing, and only if you are walking.
Do not to forget in the drawer under the buffs (looking at my drawers right now 🙈)

The liner gloves!

So, you got yourself some good Hestra army leather gloves, good start!
But.. artic winds, fingers being notoriously difficult to keep warm.
You need several liners.

- Oh!! Keeping warm - I ended up with some Falke merino wool socks, they are quite lovely. 🥰
