I have not ventured into this thread as much as others despite being in the UK and sharing much of the same dark, cold and misty conditions we have all grown accustomed to (i.e. hate with a passion sometimes). So I wanted to say hi from a frosty Scotland and postulate out loud, is it acceptable to have a hot water bottle next to you under a blanket on the sofa...

Oh hell yes it is. Shoot, I live in the Arizona desert and my hot water bottle is my best friend. I’ve also been known to have one on my feet and one on my tummy at the same time!

I’m considering one right now, actually! I’m wearing wooly socks, long bottoms, and two warm layers on top.. Lived in the desert so long that once it dips below 20C I have to bundle up. You sound like a handy one to have around in the winter!

it was about 8c here today, went for a walk in my shorts as the sun was setting, about 2 miles, no socks lol

You crazy kid! I would have frozen on the spot. I would have worn 20 layers and looked like the Michelin man

I' saw a life hack to use a water bottle in the freezer for a cool bed in the summer. Gonna do that next year I think

A romantic setting? Presumably for those of us who want to meet another person outdoors on a one-to-one basis because they can't meet indoors and the hotels are closed?

Has Covid meant a rise in al fresco nookie? Or a rise in the number of cars having the back suspension replaced?
