It’s 4:30 here, so I have half an hour until I can log off. The drinking started a little early as I think I’m the only one working!
Many moons ago, one Christmas Eve, I was in an offsite office of about 70 staff & the majority legged it after lunch when our local manager left for the airport. As I lived quite close, I told the others to go too so when the COO called at 3.30 to say we could leave early at 4, I had to pretend I was telling everyone 🤣. I’d been the only person in the building for over 2 hours.

Oh god as a kid I'd eat a whole block on its own.

I used to make the Jule sweets with my grandparents when I was a child.. doing the confectionery, filled dates in chocolate, marcipan sweets and so on.

I might, miiiiight have tasted more than I actually produced, so one year they said: Sweetie, just eat until you are full! No need to ask permission.

...... Well, it took me years, and years before I was able to be around confectionery products again. 😂 Ugh, my poor stomach!
(They did the same with the browned potatoes.. Their way of raising me was pretty much based consequences, I learnt it the hard way. 😂🙈)
