Good morning, -3 here today.

Eurostar gets my vote as I have been on 4 planes in the past 2 weeks.

I am a „stuff my face with roast duck and all the trimmings washed down by copious amounts of red wine“ kinda gal on NYE.

They had no trains at one point yesterday which is a tad problematic for a railway service. Felt for the American family interviewed on telly who were meant to be training it back to Paris to catch their transatlantic flight today!!!

yep fireworks a crap for pets . My dogs hated them .
But now they are so old and deaf that they can’t hear them and don’t get disturbed by them anymore.

I abhor fireworks too. The Germans go mad buying fireworks for NYE and spend millions on them every year. What a bloody waste of money not to mention the environmental damage caused too. Poor doggie.

That's the plan. I have got a small joint of ham I'm going to clow cook later with some orange juice, cider, bay leaves and peppercorns. No idea what I will have with it but every fibre of my being is screaming...ham, egg and chips!

I'm going to watch a movie or two and as soon as the fireworks are done and the hound is calm, I'll be off to bed.

I will not, repeat NOT, be watching Jools and his sodding Hootenanny.
