Wasn’t really any snow where I was. Loads of frozen cars and ice but no snow. So cold the de-icer spray was freezing on the windscreen which kind of defeats the object!

Ugh.. that is cold!

Yes, the snow is making it feel very little "city" like.. I mean: you can barely see where the pavement ends and the bicycle lanes begins. Everything is just.. White and fluffy.. And cold.

We reached - 16,7°C last night, this night should be a lot warmer, just. - 10°C.

So, they are going to cancel bin days this week.. It is impossible to drive safely and collect the bins.

But, I do enjoy the city when it is like this!

... It is all about the layers!
Also, it is not that cold in the daytime, around -7 to -4. The snow makes it feel less cold, it might sound weird... But I am even able to go running in shorts in this weather.
It is when the temps are between 0 and 10 that it feels really, really uncomfortably cold!

So, what did you do today? Anything fun?

Evening Magic - so where are you in UK roughly? I see they are predicting various amounts depending where you are, but in the Garden Of England we are just frozen!

I’m a bit weird in that I sweat even in this weather, so layers aren’t ideal (or maybe they would be).

Went to a gig in London last night in a t-shirt and coat - all my friends had layers, hats, gloves etc. Stayed at theirs and drove home today.

Shorts sounds hard core even if it is ‘only’ -4

Yeah that’s the problem here isn’t it. We’re just not set up for ‘decent’ snow and most drivers aren’t prepared. Once one car gets stuck, it’s chaos!

I am "that cold one". That one who always got cold hands and feet.. who turns into an ice cube the moment a soft breeze is felt on my skin..

But!! When running, , I just need my gloves and something to protect my ears, and I could.. And have, been running in a sports top, shorts, socks and shoes..

You went to a gig, in a t-shirt... Well, and a coat, but.. You did take that coat off, and then you had unprotected skin.. I might disagree with you, just a bit..I though you are the hard core, and very.. Very weird one!

I loved running . I would un with dogs and through the forest . Shorts and shirt covers in mud . But always warm till I get back and shower .. love the buzz from a good run

Yes!! That high you feel after a particularly good run? That almost giddy and silly mood, it is truly.. well, almost addicting!

And, oddly enough - I am always over dressed when running.. even though I do remember be bold, start cold - I am always freezing before I start my run (well not really, I have made sure to warm up).

But if there is no wind.. Then I know: t-shirt and shorts, no matter the temperature.
Light rain: lose long sleeved t-shirt and shorts.

I once made the mistake to buy long winter leggings for running, thought I was going to die from overheating.

... Running with your dogs through the forest, that sounds as a perfect way to go for a run.

It was indoors! I’ve definitely got some sort of odd thermo regulatory settings though. It’s not connected to running, that bit I know for sure

But.. even indoor.. you were only in a t-shirt on your upper body, I am equal parts fascinated and shocked.

This reminds me of the winter in Michigan. We lived in the woods by the river, on a dirt road. It was so icy, we watched the truck at the intersection start to slide toward the ditch on the side of the road. They gave up that day and I don't blame them!
