Neon signs are fascinating!

A sign maker. Heat the glass tubes and bend to the template then fill with gas. I remember the factory. He did silk screen printing as well.

At least he didn’t ask for jump leads or his glasses!

That would probably have lead me to kick him!!

He was sooo happy that I was awake, because then he could show me this cool screwdriver, that is impossible to over-screw (is that even a word?! )

Because so many surgeons had been tightening the bolts too hard when connecting the pacemakers, that the wires simply had been chopped over.

But now they had this amazing little screwdriver, that made click noises and stopped tightening when the bolts were tight enough.

..... Seriously, he was so happy!

It is amazing how detailed and technical these things become with time and experience. Who would imagine a self regulating screwdriver!

Darts is such a different game to when I was a kid.

Back then, most were a bit tubby (to say the least) and enjoyed several drinks and cigarettes on stage during the game.

Now it’s water only, snappy nicknames, replica shirts for fans and big money prizes!

I think mercury was added to some of the gasses so no. But this was before tight regulations
