There is ALWAYS cake!! That might be one of the few things that is a given here, soft fresh baked buns with butter and pastries, lots of pastries.

Plus political speeches, happy people, and as it is Friday.. and we are having the Distortion festival in Copenhagen, there will be so, so much dancing!!

The city is already humming and bubbling with laughter and happy people.

I'm afraid we're not as grown-up here

We have no Constitution day... no Armed Forces day... we sort of have Worker's day... but most of our bank holidays are just piss-up days

That is a cool one... everybody gets a little pyromania on that day but our poor brandvæsen work so hard... tipsy people and naked flames don't often mix well
