Yes we did discussed insomnia when we spoke about our deep personal relationship, and you know I care about you but my feelings haven't changed, I'm no good for you. You would only be happy if you were with me and everyone needs depression in their life to balance it out, you wouldn't be able to handle the pure bliss that you would have in a relationship with me. I'm sorry but its for your own good and I must put aside my personal feelings for you :D

I did get a job and right now I'm living off my final paycheck, awaiting my jobseekers allowance (Temporary contract). And my girlfriend is my on-again off-again girlfriend of the past 2 years. After a gap of about 8 months we decided to give it one last try. I get the feeling that she doesn't want to be alone on valentines day. I'd like to make it work but all the things that have stopped us in the past haven't really changed. i don't have high hopes :( Oh and for the record, I usually posted some pretty long statements earlier in the series as well as shorter ones. Its just that most of the time I'm limited to one or two internet connections a day so I have to pack everything together into one massive post. This shall all change when i have broadband... lookout world, on the 23rd of this month I SHALL HAVE BROADBAND!!!!!! (or at least shall be ABLE to get broadband)

Marsi, I Loooove martial arts but I have to admit its been a while since I did any. I think i've mentioned all the different types i've done before but i'm still a fan of kendo :D I got a new set of Katanas over christmas too! Yay! Full tang! Japanese Steel! I can cut down trees with them! YAY!! Interesting side note, for some reason most people seem to think that martial arts originated in china, this is true for about 33% of the martial arts out there, but the majority of them actually originated in Japan and were transferred over, similarly Ninja are assumed to be chinese assasins, also not true. HOLLYWOOD HAS A LOT TO ANSWER FOR!!! Although Sun Tzu has been repoted as being Japanese in the past, when he was chinese. You can't blame Hollywood for that because they don't put high brow things into Hollywood films.

P.S. Monkey is cool! (and chinese) *Ow, ow ow ow ow! No! Tribitaka!* :D

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!

Ninjas aren't Chinese by any means! I suppose the garb of chinese assassins is similar to ninjas (I was once nicknamed ninja-girl simply because I'm Chinese and can do the splits.. random). But martial arts rule!! I once met a man who's a martial arts master. I didn't realise at the time--he was just one of the many people I met on my social whirl around China with my dad a few years ago. That was glorious! Tons of food, buffet meals. Even did that 'we stayed in a mountain villa' thing. That was a lot of fun. Anyway, back to this man. Turns out he's one of those people who can poke you and make you momentarily paralysed, then re-poke you and make you non-paralysed. If you've seen 'Once Upon A Time in China' you'll know. After watching that I went round poking everybody. And leaving large bruises in my wake (especially on my best friend--it was about 2 cm diameter and stayed for a week!). He gave me a lucky jade charm. Two in fact. Hopefully his masterly martial arts power was transferred to me. But I've always had a strong poke.

SUN WU KONG!!! That's who you were talking about! I didn't get it. Thing is, I know him as Su Wukong and Tripikata as Tang Seng. A long time ago, I played a Demoness who did battle with Sun Wukong (played by one of my best friends) for Chinese New Year. That was interesting. If you know the mythology well, it was 'Bai Gu Jing'--the White Bone Demon. She was SCARY. The first Sun Wukong story I learned about really.

And Sun Wukong rules!! Damn, you've got the theme tune to the cartoon of it stuck in my head now!

Hob_knob, the weather's been awful everywhere, I think. Intermittent drizzly rain. Not nice!!

I'm a master of mythology, unfortunately its just norse, roman, greek, japanese and english (saxon-english) so my weighty chinese mythology knowledge is a little on the light side. I had no idea that Sun Wukong was also known as Monkey. Like I say, my chinese is a little rusty in most aspects. I love the show, it was being repeated last year about the time I got in from a night out. Alcahol really enhances the experience :D
By the way, Tribitaka/Tang Seng is so obviously a woman, how do they expect everyone to believe its a man?
Didn't know they made a cartoon of it though

Morning plas, hope the day fares well with you.
Monkey, I have loved that show for years, the mention of it bings back happy memories.:)

I hate to be the one to point this out, but if he smells a rat on your panties, you're doing something really wrong.

So, Plas, or anybody... know any Greek mythology?

I'm a veritable dictionary :D .
My favourite: Eros and Psyche. It's one of the most beautiful stories I've ever read or known. The most perfect marriage of all time, I think. Just consider this: the God of erotic love (eros--erotic!!!) falls in love with psyche (the mind) and is monogamous. One of the two gods who doesn't cheat on his wife! And it's the god of sex! Isn't that best?

You too, Witchie. I'm currently reading an article about how the story of Eros and Psyche is a very Freudian story which is ultimately the story of a perfect relationship. You know, they had a daughter too. She was called Pleasure.

Therefore,
Soul + Eroticism = Pleasure
(psyche means soul in ancient greek)

That's quite nice, isn't it!
