Ukraine redux.

Trouble's a brewin' in downtown Moscow. Some of the Oligarchs, members of the Duma, and Putin's staunchest propagandists in the media are starting to turn on ole Vlad. This comes on the heels of Ukraine announcing they have a home-grown ballistic missile that will hold Moscow at risk. Surprising advances by the Ukrainian Army on the front. Loss to two allies (Iran and Venezuela) with a third (Cuba) to follow. And further cratering of the Russian economy.

The Forgotten War.

Your runty idol Putin’s invasion of Ukraine has certainly been a humiliating fiasco for him.
Shut up with that juvenile nonsense. Don't confuse my insistence on a belief in reality as support for Putin. All of your cheerleading for the fantasy of a Ukrainian victory is exactly that. It was never in the realm of possibility as long as the Russians were opposed to it.

Exactly. Trump is a FAILURE here if those remain in Russian hands.
BS. He never said he would fight the Russians or force them out of the Donbas. Barack Obama and Joe Biden failed when they broke the word of the United States of America to the Russians:

This from a simple search:
"U.S. Secretary of State James Baker famously used the phrase "not one inch eastward" during a meeting with Soviet leader
Mikhail Gorbachev in Moscow on February 9, 1990. This verbal assurance was part of discussions regarding German reunification following the fall of the Berlin Wall. Baker sought to persuade the Soviet Union to accept a unified Germany within NATO by suggesting that the alliance's military jurisdiction would not expand further east. According to declassified memoranda, Baker
told Gorbachev, "NATO's jurisdiction or troops will not spread east of the present boundary" and reiterated that expansion would move "not one inch eastward". Other Leaders: Similar verbal assurances were reportedly given by West German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, Foreign Minister Hans-Dietrich Genscher, and British Prime Minister John Major around the same time."

I'm sure it's the furthest thing from your mind, but persons uncharitably inclined might be tempted to read pro-Russian sympathies into the above.

Yes, because they are more interested in promoting lies about me than they are about facts and history. The left always attacks the messenger when the facts don't support their arguments.

Look, you DO want Russia to LOSE this war, don't you? It is far more important that Russia should lose it than that Ukraine should win it. We can tolerate no result that Putin can call a victory. Because the world cannot afford to tolerate anything at all that help's Putin achieve what is obviously his ambition: To make Russia a world power of the first rank once again.
