Arlette

Arlette opens her eyes to see the first rays of light slip through the blinds beside her bed... she smiles... she remembers where she is... a private island... paradise... vacations. She stretches and turns in bed, her naked body barely covered by the soft bed sheets... oh the bed was so confortable... she was about to drift again into sleep as she remembered Dr. Williams words...

"You'll both need physical's in the morning in the lab. Please be there early, about eight. Make sure you aren't sick or anything before letting you run all over..".

Arlette stands up from bed and heads for the shower... after a nice refreshing bath she goes through her clothes and slips on a pair of cutoffs and a white blouse, she takes her sandals and walks out of her room, her hair still wet.

Arlette stands for a while ouside her room door... " Oh great, I dont even know where the lab is located!... I am not giving the best of impressions... Ive been lost most of the time Ive spent here... ".

She walks down the hall, hoping she will bump into someone that could show her the way to the lab...

Sleep was ont something that came easy to him. Especially in new places, he would just lay there, in bed, staring at the ceiling. His mind would be working as fast as it could, running from place to place, thinking up new things, remembering old. Some of it made him laugh, others made his cheeks grow red.
By the time his mind had run it's course, it finally tired out, and he would basically pass out from mental exhaustion. Sleep wouldn't be long though, after an hour or so he would have some vivid nightmare and then wake up, bathed in sweat.
So, it didn't surprise him that the sun was already coming through the curtains and he felt twice as tired as he did when he went to bed. Smiling, he got up, heading to the bathroom.
After a refreshing shower, he felt better. Back out in the main lab for the animals, he went through more papers, examining things. A pot of coffee had already been put on in the area, and he grateful for it. Without caffeine, he was sure that he wouldn't make it through the day.
He smiled as the breakfast crew came in, "Hey guys, how goes the day."
Spattered responces from each of the men, as they grabbed different pails and went to different animals. He followed them, scribbling down some notes and testing a few of the meals. Biting into some of the lettuce, he was pleasently surprised. It was pretty good.
"You only feed them twice a day?"
Ayuh," a tall man said, "But usually we come in here to give them a snack for midday and see if they are all right."
He nodded, understanding. That's probably what he would have done as well.
When they left, he went up to the file cabinet, taking out a few folders. The history of the animal was just as important as anything else. Nick prepare himself for a long hard day of reading.

Dr Rachel Williams

I stood up from my little lounge chair and searched out something suitable, yet 'smart' looking with a lady's quality. I never liked to slack off in anything, even going to work I wore professional attire.
Smiling in the mirror, I found the black skirt and silk blouse very comfortable and suitable as well. Slipping on my lab coat and short heels, I put up my hair, grabbed my reading glasses and clip board.
"Time to get working.." I checked the mirror once more to make sure everything was in it's place and strode out the door. I encountered no one on my stroll to the lab, I wasn't even sure someone was up yet or not?
Entering the lab I sent out orders for the day. Feed the animals, all of them, human ones as well, and get them into the lab. I called the kitchen and asked them to prepare a buffet like breakfast for the assistants and to go up to their rooms and bring them down. I knew they could easily get lost if they didn't pay attention to their surroundings last night.
Henry was a little sneak when he made this place, it was a confusing one as well.
Pencil in mouth, I glanced down the charts and checked the numbers as well as behavoral patterns and such nots. I glanced up as Luke and Scott came into the room.
"Good morning Gentlemen, I would like to get started this morning. I am going to give you a series of shots and then I will send you off to work. Alright?"
They looked at one another and then back at me, both nodding in agreement.
"Alright, great." I smiled and asked each one to take a seat. Scott didn't like the look of the needle anymore than Luke did, but they knew it was coming.
"Try and relax a little and think of something else.. Like tell me about yourself?"
They both sat there, Scott just blankly stared at the needle and Luke said he couldn't think of much to say.
"Well, alright I will just get it over with then.." Pulling out the needles, I checked the reference numbers on the vials before injecting it into the syringe.
Pulling up Scott's shirt, i wiped off the skin and quickly stuck it in. pressing down the plunger he was done in a blink. Pulling out the needle, i wiped it off again and placed a small ice pack over his shoulder for a moment.
"That wasn't so bad was it?" scott shrugged it off and stood up.
"The animals are out back, just help with the feedings, ok?" He nodded and walked out. The cougar dna should work nicely with his blood and all the other little things as well.
"Now it is your turn Luke." His was wolf mixture and bear with a little chameleon. Luke was sent off to help on the main island with gathering some things needed for some of the animals and tohelp unload whatever ships come in.
Later I would find me a trusted assistant to help aid me with the filing. but that had to wait for someone I knew could be trusted for their silence.

Retirement

ooc: Tilted has left this, Ray has dropped it. I am going to go as well, but I wont leave you dead in the water....


IC:

Luke and Scott had left to do their errands/jobs. Nick was seeing to the animals and Reggie was eating so i was told. Arlette was heading down to the lab as well.

Picking up the phone I paged Jaenelle. When she answered me, I instructed her to take over.

"I have some things to do in the city, main land. I need you to take over here for me. Watch over everyone.. you know how everything works and Brad I am sure can help out. I will return when I can, you know how to reach me if you need anything.."
I hung up and left the lab. I needed to pack and get underway before the ship left for the week.

Jaenelle informed me about what her mother had told her.

"Huh.... looks like we have the place to ourselves. Let's go checkup on the others," he said smiling at her.

OOC. Sorry all this one has gone no where. It has been a pleasure.



IC. Reggie took Sophia's leash in hand and led her to the area where the animals were kept. Her heart broke to leave Sophie here but she knew that this was the best place for her.
A single tear slipped down Reggie's cheek as she handed over the leash to one Scott, who was helping. She turned on her heeel and strode back to her room.
Gathering her things didn't take long and she was off out the door catching the boat before it went back to the mainland.
