Undercover Love (closed)

Swift looked over at her, "Why? to get away and relax a little. Maybe work on us or was that just part of your undercover work?" Swift was getting that feeling of questioning what he thought was happening between them. He fell silent to think over her response to getting away.. Unless she thought that they could just stay here and move on what was growing between them. He just needed to get some rest..

No...I...

Momma walked up and started to reach for her only for Jessie to hold tighter to Swift. Because of what was happening between them she did not want to let go.

Swift looked at her when she began to explain but when Momma reached for her Jessie withdrew and curled deeper into Swifts arms. Swift held onto her and looked at Momma whom was smiling at him.

"I will keep her with me, maybe take her back to my place. If I have any trouble I can call you." Swift informed everyone as he walked toward his car. "Jazz, I'll call you later or you can come over.. That might be best if you and momma come over." Swift spoke over his shoulder as he opened the door and helped Jessie into the passenger seat..

Swift nodded, then moved around and got into the car after hearing Jazz's reply.

"We will be home shortly. I'll fix us some dinner watch a little TV and talk when you want too." Swift spoke to her as he pulled out of the parking lot.

Just... Digging my way back so to speak from one terminated assignment to another.

She sat there as they headed home.

He... His dad may have been right. He talked about us having a family.

She laid her head back against the headrest closing her eyes and sighed.

Swift looked over at the cold words that came from her about moving from one assignment to another one. "It's not that easy." He informed her. He knew how much undercover can take away from the real apple. Some agents never come back from the undercover life. She being this close to Callis and now being told that the father was talking about making a family that was deeper than just doing an assignment.

"Jessie, I know it hurts like hell and you have been through a lot and I'm not going to lie to you. It's going to be hell trying to move past this but you have to still fight as if this was a life and death situation. You have to find the person you were before you went undercover for that is the real you." He wasn't a mental doc and he didn't really know what to say, he just had to be there to help her along the path. She had to talk to mom that was all there was to it..

Right now... I have to get into the mind set of Jazz niece... That punk is dead he won't get to create the family with me he said he wanted time to move on.

He looked over at her knowing damn well this was her pep talk to herself, for he saw the pain that she was deep within her from her last experience with this man and now she had to live with what happened to her again, even if she did get to end his life the pain of it occurring was there just pushed down under the skin where the other painful memories still lingered. No matter what she said she needed and was going to get help, even if he had to make sure she did.

Upon settling down in his living room he walked over and got a few beers and walked back to the couch. Sitting down beside her he offered her the drink. "So what mind set does Jazz's niece do to be beside the real one that your going through now?" Swift looked at her with a quizzical face. "I think this assignment is over and you need to get away for awhile." he treaded lightly.

They will expect a little fragile but still tough as ever like I have always been.

She shrugged.

Its all part of the job... Top deep cover agent... Flip covers like flipping a coin.

Swift fell silent for a few moments, victim to his own wave of realism in the fact that he almost lost the woman he has fallen in love with. He took in a deep breath and released it as he attempted to take in the fact that this was more than likely not her last dance with death.

He looked over to Jessie, watched the heaviness of life still upon her shoulders. He knew whatever happened between her and Callis in the past and just this day was going to effect her no matter how tough she is acting now, and he just hoped that she doesn't get pulled away by the agency.

He reached over, put his arms around her head and lightly pulled her head down toward his shoulder. "I believe we still have some issues to resolve at the pub. Don't you think?" he suggested hoping that she got his intentions on a personal note.

The bar? What about it? The gun run? Getting back to Jazz's niece technically is getting back to me just a part of me that I was just kept on the outskirts of.

She was feeling better as she laid her head against him.

Kinda crazy isn't it... I would get involved for my job with a crime family that none of the mc has the balls to deal with... That is without some cocksure young gun like you leading the charge.

Swift had to smile, not only at her reply about him leading the charge, but on the fact that getting back to Jessie was getting back to her, which is why he wanted to push the gun smuggling case, which at the moment he really didn't give a shit about. It was her and being with her that he cared about.

"So, Do you think we can get Jazz on board with this idea?" he whispered before he pressed his lips against her forehead. He pulled her a little closer to him. "I don't think it would take much to get him to agree." Swift realizing how close Jazz and her was, "Not hard at all. But we don't really have to hurry to get back to the case, there is other things we can work on." He implied about their relationship.

Don't forget I am protecting Uncle Jazz when this all goes down. All this assignment is for me is taking out the rot that has changed what Jazz and the original crew created.

As for dealing with anything for us before pushing the gun run. What ya got in mind Swift?

Swift got a serious facial expression upon his face, "Well, I have heard that some of the guns that are coming in from the ocean, and well, I think we need to have a stakeout at the beach and see if we can catch these shipments coming in." He attempted to keep the talk business like, even thou he knew everyone here wouldn't be fooled by the talk.

"So, are you up for a very difficult stakeout?" He asked squeezing her tighter, "Or do you think Jazz and others will want a long debriefing with you on other matters?" he knew after what happened Jazz would be wanting to keep her very close to him.

Let's go to the bar for a bit. Then I will find a way of breaking us free from that and we can go relax at the beach for a bit.

"Okay, I just hope that Throttle and Berserk haven't stirred too much shit up with Fracture that your slipping away is hindered." Swift knew with those two being unattended and watched, they would maneuver to better position themselves with the man and the gun deal. He shook his head at the thought.

"If you can't break away, maybe just an easy night at your place there on top of the bar can be arranged." He really didn't care where they were as long as they were together. He knew that all this will hit her when the rush fades and reality of what just happened settles in.

Don't worry about Fracture... And I can get us away from the bar if it's not set to move on the gun run.

She smiled and closing her eyes took a deep breath and set herself for all the questions and concerns at the bar.

Swift nodded, "Okay." He knew Jessie could handle Fracture, but there would be a lot of questions coming from him. He just had to keep his two cents to himself and let Jess handle the talking for she knew what needed to be said, besides he would be busy dealing with the goon squad.

He leaned back into the seat and just enjoyed the moment of holding Jess in his arms. It felt good that she was there for those hours that she wasn't was total hell. A situation that he hopes never occurs again.

He was about to ask her if she thought the agency would even allow her to stay on this case due to what just happened but when he looked down at her, he decided not to disturb the clam she had found at the moment.

He just held her close to him and drifted off into his own thoughts.

He let out a sigh as the familiar streets panned out before them. "Well, It's that time." He muttered to her as they pulled into the parking lot.

Getting out of the car she nodded to him and walked in. One of the prospects who bad no real clue other than it took nearly a whole crew to rescue one girl started to shoot off his mouth only to find the best bottle be was drinking from busted over his head and Jess standing there still holding the neck of it aimed at his neck.

What was that? I don't see full patch on you yet prospect... So back off.

Jazz saw her shaking and walked over.

Jessie girl I will handle this. Prospect... I just saved your pathetic carcass from losing about 50 pounds of brain dead weight by not letting my NIECE slit your worthless throat open. Now sit down shut up and clean up this glass.

Swift was a little slower then Jazz in reacting to the short temperament action of Jess. His concern wasn’t the fact that she was about to commit brutal homicide but the fact that she was trembling had him concerned. She was tough as nails when in view of everyone, but now she seemed to show the stress. To some, that would be an understandable reaction to what she had been through, but to him, it was a sign that she was at her limit and really needed to take a break from the undercover assignments, but he wasn’t going to touch that, he would leave her job assignments to her and the agency, he was just going to be at her side when she needed someone to lean on.

“Hey Jess, Why don’t we drink some of those cold ones, instead of wasting them on some dumb ass.” Swift took a seat a few tables away from the idiot. “Hey, Jazz could you fix up some of that excellent grub you make and a few relaxing cocktails.” His gaze directed toward Jess as he spoke to the man. “I think we all need a few moments to whine down.”

Jazz somewhat herded Jess to the table.

Just like your mother... Won't be viewed as weak by anybody. Not that you are cause I'd say everyone in the club with half a brain k does that from you hooking up with that Callis punk but remember this is Momma's bar and she don't take to bloodshed okay.

Jess just nodded.

Just really don't need some punk mouthing off about an army having to rescue me.

She was pisssed and having to keep up that tough exterior for the club.

Swift sat quietly at the table, his gaze moved up to Jazz as he compared the actions of Jess to her mother. He Swift didn't know her mother but he nodded his agreement to the fact that Jess had this thing about keeping a tough, impregnable way about her, even thou he himself saw the soft, slightly upheaved side of her.

"Well, it wasn't necessary really for any of us to come to your aid for you was handling it by yourself, it was our need and desire to help you that made us respond to your situation and if that jack don't want to understand that it's his loss." Swift mentioned before taking a small glimpse toward Jess, he knew she didn't need the patronizing, but it was the truth and it needed to be said.

"Just let me know when that Beachside visit is upon us." Swift added before standing up and moving to the bar. He wanted to give them a few moments alone.

Jess sighed.

Swift don't you have some deal to go work on?

Jazz spoke to her only briefly before he moved back to where he had been sitting talking to some of the other old-timers. One old man wearing an originals tav with his cuts shook his head.

Allie girl didn't die she just got younger and lethal didn't she Jazzman?

Jazz just shook his head.

She is every bit Allie's daughter. And if Allie could see her now Jess and Momma would be the only two still alive when she got done.
