Kia smiled reading his text and wrote back " My day was pretty amazing actually I had a great time witn my best friend and I got to see my godson for the first time" she wrote attaching a picture of him.

"I am glad you had a great day. He is adorable." He was amazed at how easy it was to talk to her after only knowing Kia for such a short time. He started thinking about what happened between them this morning, and wondered if it was just a result of her thinking that he was her hero.

Kia smiled reading the text " Thanks." She wrote back. She blushed thinking about what they did this morning in her room. Nick was shocked when his phone rang and he saw it was Kia. "Hey Kia. I am glad you had a nice day. Your godchild is cute." It was comfortable talking to her. "Any plans for tomorrow? "

Kia smiled and said" Thanks hes already got alot of energy" she giggled " Im not sure what im doing tomorrow after I send the new supplies to my stores. Do you work tomorrow?"

"Yea, I have to work in the morning. I have a few meetings and then I have some paperwork that I have to finish up. I am hoping to get out of the office by 2 pm." Nick thought about asking Kia to meet him for lunch, but then he wanted to be careful not to push things.

Kia smiled " I should finish up at my stores about that time as well Nick and I should be downtown around 6th street ...you want to grab a bite afterwards since your pretty close to there?"she said hoping hed join her,

Nick was surprised about her offer to meet. She was doing the things that he was hesitant to do. Nick chalked it up to him being afraid to hurt her after everything she had been through. Heck, you can rationalize anything. "That sounds like a great idea Kia. There is a great little place for lunch right at the corner of 6th and Chestnut. Why don't we meet there?"

Kia smiled and said " Sounds like a date" she said teasingly. She enjoyed spending time with Nick but she felt that sometimes he was restricting himself because he was afraid to hurt her and she thought that was sweet but she was a woman and a strong one. She sighed and said gently and simply " Your afraid.."

"What do you think I am afraid of Kia?" He enjoyed her company. Nick liked the fact that she wanted to spend time with him, but he was also afraid that Kia just needed someone to be with after what had happened. He didn't want to be just a rebound.

" I dont know Nick... I think your afraid of hurting me or me hurting you that your my rebound guy. I know that your cautious around me at times... I can feel it but I just want you to know im a big girl and I just dont want you to do that. Sure I still hurt like hell from James in fact im livid but... im slowly dealing with it and getting over it. I like what weve found with each other Nick and im not letting that asshole ruin that" she said sighing letting him know how she felt hoping she hadnt said too much.

Nick liked the fact that Kia spoke her mind. It was good that she was able to speak of her emotions and not keep them bottled up. "I like you Kia. I just want to make sure that you are okay. I don't want to say the wrong thing."

Kia giggled " I know Nick neither do I. I like you too and Im glad you care about me that way nick. Your really too sweet" she said and smiled. She liked that they were being honest and open with each other and speaking their feelings.

"That's great. So, we are all set for a lunch date tomorrow at 2. I will meet you there." Nick thought about the fact that he had called it a date. Then he thought about what had happened between the that morning and he started to get aroused thinking of their "shower."

Kia smiled as he called their lunch a date and she said " Its a date Nick" she said blushing. She really liked Nick and had no idea she'd be into a guy so quickly but that's how life worked. Nick laughed a little at Kia's playfulness. This was another side of her that he had not seen before. Of course, he has only known her for a few days, and for several of those days she was unconscious then in the hospital. "Well Kia, something tells me that you are going to tell me all about your current situation."

Nick smiled to himself. "Okay. Let me guess. You have on a robe that you haven't tied, and it has fallen open...baring some of your private parts. Those parts that many a man would like to see and possibly explore. Am I right?" The teasing and the mental images created by the teasing were having an effect on his body.

Kia grinned and said " Mmm actually your spot on" she said " The robe is barely covering anything in fact...some might saynim on full display" she said flirting. She bit her lip thinking about the possibility of phone sex with him. She had never tried it but the way she felt at the moment she felt like her hands would end up there again soon.
