Unforgettable (closed for BlondeAmbition4RP)

He was standing with the phone in his hand, ready to type whatever address Jane had in her mind. It didn't matter to him at that moment how she had found the address, or remembered it. He was more interested in where it would take them. Take her. He was really hoping it would lead her to finally find what she was looking for. Her identity. The fact that she hadn't answered his question didn't go unnoticed by Sebastian.

"Of course. What's the street address?"

Jane uttered the series of numbers and letters in rapid succession as if she had rehearsed them. Sebastian entered the address using the virtual keypad on his phone and waited for the results to appear. He glanced up at Jane a couple of times as the progress bar changed colors. When the search finally reached to hundred percent completion, Sebastian stared first at the phone and then at Jane. He swiped his finger up and down on the screen for a few seconds. He then held the screen up for the lady to see, offering her the phone if she liked to explore further.

"Any of these look familiar?"

On one hand, he was pleased to see something show up in the results for the unknown address. On the other hand, since they did not have a state or zip code, and even if the address was in the same country, there were more than a dozen places it could be in. And none of them seemed to be in this city.

"Don't worry if any of those don't ring a bell. I can have someone check all of them out. It might take some time though. They seem to be all over the country. The street name had me wondering though, if it was one word or two. Do you...remember?"

"Any of these look familiar?"

She took the phone from him, her finger swiping through the list, praying that one of them would somehow look familiar, but...

"No, none of them," she replied, her face falling as she handed the cellphone back to him.

How could there be so many of them, but no matches here within the city. Was she not from this city?

When he asked if the street name had been one word or two, she looked back at him again hopefully, realizing for the first time that he'd entered the address wrong, as two words instead of one.

"It was one," she answered quickly, but then hesitated, catching the pointed way in which he'd phrased his question.

"It's... a little hard to explain," she added finally, "But the street name is definitely one word, not two."

"None of them? I'm sorry. I was hoping you might be able to recognize..."

Sebastian paused midway. He was watching her closely now. He wasn't terribly surprised by seeing the expression on Jane's face when she handed the phone back to him. The list was quite big. He was a bit disappointed, but only for a moment. When Jane responded almost instantly to his next question about the street name, he clutched the cell phone firmly in his hand and immediately looked down and started swiping and tapping on the screen. He glanced at her a couple of times as she spoke, hesitantly.

Now Sebastian was a bit confused. She was telling him that it was hard to explain, but was sure it was one word. What was so hard to explain? The woman could be quite mysterious at times. Or was it just the amnesia? He couldn't be sure.

His eyes widened and smile appeared on his face as he looked up into Jane's beautiful eyes and handed the phone back to her.

"That looks much better, doesn't it?"

Although he hadn't found anything specific, the search had now been narrowed down to only 3 locations. He was hopeful that Jane might know at least one of them. If not, they could always visit the place and find out.

"The address that is showing up in the city has a different number though. Off by only a digit. Did you notice? The other two addresses match exactly, but they seem to be out of state. Do you remember ever visiting these places, states I mean?"

He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but even after looking at the search results, there was something odd about the address Jane had given him.

Jane had taken the phone back from Sebastian as he'd handed it to her, her eyes meeting his and looking hopeful in response to the handsome smile that had appeared on his face as he'd looked down at the screen. She looked down, and soon a smile lit upon her face as well. Only three addresses this time!

"Yes, much better," she agreed with a grin as she looked over each of them as he spoke again.

She thought over the location of each one, each of the two other states that held an exact address match, trying to remember if she had either been to one of them before. She racked her brain, hoping that a memory might ignite, but...

"No," she shook her head, "I don't remember if I've been to any of them before... but at least it's something."

She looked back up at him.

"You said that you knew people that could look into the ones that are out of state?" she asked him hopefully, "And the one in the city, do you think we could go? I'd like to at least see it, see what kind of building it is and if it sparks any memories at least. Maybe there could even be someone there that would recognize me."

Their eyes had met for a brief moment as Jane took the phone from him. There was something about the way their gazes connected that warmed his heart and sent a tingling sensation within him, even if it was for a fleeting second. He saw a glimpse of the look that she had given him when they had first met in the cab. Then, Sebastian was pleased to finally see Jane smiling as she glanced over the search results before carefully examining them. He was hoping that something might trigger her memory.

“Yes, we can definitely go and check it out. And I will arrange for someone to find out everything about the out of state locations right away.” He replied. There was hope in those pretty eyes that he had not seen until now. It made him very happy. He didn’t want to waste any time. Everything else could wait. This seemed important at the moment. He had a feeling that she would agree with him.

“Why don’t you change while I make a few calls? We can pick up food on the way as well. In case what we ordered is not here by the time we leave. Sound good?”

The smile returned to Jane's face as Sebastian agreed to take her to the one of the three addresses that was actually located within the city, and to have people get more information for them on the other addresses that were out of state as well. When he suggested that she go and change so that they could go check it out right that moment however she stared at him for a moment in surprise.

"Sound good?" she repeated in shock before suddenly grinning and throwing her arms around him with a hug in her excitement, "That sounds amazing, Sebastian. Thank you!"

She had not been outside the hospital since waking after the accident, had barely even been outside her room except when undergoing different treatments and tests. The thought of getting to put on her own clothes, get out, and have a meal other than hospital food nearly had her as excited as the idea that she might actually remember something or find some more information about herself.

After a moment though she realized herself, starting to pull back a bit from him again, a little embarrassed at herself for just hugging him like that.

"Sorry, guess I got a little overly excited," she explained with a little self-depreciating laugh, "Are you sure you have time to go now?.. I know a man like you must have a super busy schedule. We could go some other time instead if you have someone- I mean something else you need to get to."

Sebastian was taken aback as Jane hugged him in that impulsive moment. He had been watching her all this time as his words had sunk in and the excitement on her face was mistakable. Now his eyes widened, lips curled into an even bigger smile, and arms opened up, wondering whether to wrap themselves around her compact frame or not. They very much wanted to. He waited, however, slowly just placing one hand on her back, tentatively.

“It is quite alright, Jane.” He stared down at her face, as she pulled herself away from his body and began to speak with a slightly nervous, and what seemed like an overly modest tone. He found it quite adorable.

“I don’t have anyone, or anywhere I need to get to.” He said with a smile. And even if he did, he would have adjusted his schedule to fit her in. There was no doubt about it. He was enjoying spending time with this woman, even if it was in a boring hospital room.

Suddenly there was a loud noise outside, as both Sebastian and Jane were startled.

“What the...hell was that?” Sebastian glanced towards his left and then right, before staring back at Jane, not sure where the noise had come from and placed one hand on her shoulder. “Why don’t you get ready? I’m going to go outside and check what happened.” Saying that, he turned and started walking towards the door, even as his fingers tapped something on the phone.

“I don’t have anyone, or anywhere I need to get to.”

There was something about the way he had said it, the look in his eyes as he'd smiled at her again; and god was he handsome when he smiled like that. She wasn't certain what it was about the look, but it made her moment of nervousness fade away, her eyes looking back into his as a slow, wide smile spread across her lips.

Her lips had parted as if she was about to say something back, but then suddenly she jumped at the loud noise outside her door. Instantly her eyes were on the door, muscles tense and on alert, her fight or flight response fully engaged and ready for whatever was the source of the sound, causing her to flinch at first when Sebastian put his hand on her shoulder and explained he was going to go check it out while she got dressed.

"Are you sure?" she questioned as he moved to the door.

She knew it was probably nothing, but she had a bad feeling about him going out to investigate alone.

"Lock the door and just put your ear up to it for a moment to see if you can hear anything first," she told him as she quickly moved to the cabinet where her personal clothes from when she'd arrived at the hospital had been stored, "I'll be just a moment."

Grabbing the items she rushed to the bathroom and shut the door to change, only taking a minute before reemerging again.

"Yes. I'll be right back." Sebastian proceeded towards the door, glancing back at Jane once when she asked to him to lock it, before disappearing into the bathroom. His fingers were already on the handle, as he pulled the door open without bothering to see what or who was outside, his head turning towards the front once again.

Why would he need to lock the door if he wanted to go outside and find out what was going on? His mind was racing as he thought about the possibilities. The idea of someone actually trying to break into their room or attack them did not cross his mind. He wished it had.

Sebastian Blake opened the door and before he could take another step forward, he found himself staring straight into the barrel of a hand gun. The man standing in front of him was wearing a hat. He had on a dark suit, but Sebastian was too surprised and terrified to even notice what he was wearing.

I can't let them know Jane is here. I was right. He is the same guy I saw earlier. He is back for her. I know it.

"What do you want?" He spoke slowly as the man kept quiet, looking past Sebastian, trying to see who else was in the room.

"Where's the girl?" The man spoke in a calm and neutral tone, grabbing Sebastian by the arm and shoving him inside the room.

Then, they heard the sound of a door opening.

Fuck! No! Jane! Please don't come out. He now realized he should have listened to her and locked the door, but it was too late for that. He had no chance of warning her either. This was going to end badly.

It was a strange feeling for Jane to put on clothes that were obviously hers, but that she didn't remember wearing before. Everything fit perfect and worn in just right, but she didn't remember any of it. She didn't have time to dwell on it however as she quickly got changed and emerged from the bathroom, now donned in the same outfit as she'd been wearing in the taxi the day of the accident: a black knit hat, black turtle neck, black moto jacket, black leather gloves, black pants, and black boots... apparently she liked black.

As she opened the bathroom door she instantly froze at the sight before her, inwardly uttering a curse. Apparently Sebastian had not done as she'd asked him to. Fear flooded her at the sight of the stranger's hand grabbing Sebastian's arm and the gun he had pointed at him, but she forced herself to remain calm, raising her hands in a 'don't shoot' gesture.

"What do you want?" she asked the man in an even tone, unknowingly echoing Sebastian's words from before.
