Unregister and have posts removed?

I understand I'm supposed to contact Laurel if I want to unregister/delete my account? How do I go about doing that?

How does one go about having their NAME removed from this site? I see lots of people show up as Unregistered. The point of this was to have Tania's trademark name removed.

You can PM Laurel or Manu. Or use the Contact US link at the bottom of each Forum page.

However, you'll need a VERY good reason for deleting your account. Deleting accounts has an effect on other user's accounts -- mostly their post totals -- and puts the member ID's out of synch with the links to author's stories.

The way the site is linked into the Forum Database makes actually deleting and purging a single user a major project.

Which...would have been nice if they'd told us the username change info before the remove account info, because all the remove process did was make her a guest and leave her name up . We have several very good reasons for wanting her name off of the site that I would be happy to share with whomever controls this process.

Yes, but are there legal issues with that? I don't want to close down my own account anyhow, I want Tania's (she is my client) name removed.

Wow...the new lit layout is really throwing me off. I received a helpful PM from Laurel concerning all of this. Tania is no longer able to access lit because she cancelled her account subscription, but she has kept up a dialogue with some of the lit-powers-that-be. For the most part I am handling this because I am Tania's manager. Thanks everyone for your help.
