Unsexy question for curvy girls

Have you tried that Monistat anti-chafing gel-to-powder stuff? If it doesn't work to stop chafing, you can always use it as an inexpensive alternative to Smashbox or other face primers.
<snip> Getting laid has never been a problem for me. <snip>
Protip: Mary and Rosy Palmer don't count. Now go back to your mom's basement and let the grown-ups talk. :)

My sister uses exercise shorts. A friend of mine recommended Vaseline (I haven't tried it). Mitchum's unscented deodorant has worked well for me in more than just armpit areas, because it's fairly mild, though I use men's deodorant under my armpits now... it's cheaper for more. >_>

Quite honestly, I just always wear tights. I used to wear shorts or pajama bottoms, but I love how I look in tights. Why not try getting some cheap nylons or tights and cutting them off at the knee, or higher even, if you think exercise shorts would be too hot.

Best solution for the chafing is zinc cream, I usually just carry some around all the time in the summer. Ah, fond memories. I'm Canadian and I was in an LA airport, wearing tights, sweating to death, in agony from the chafing, and I paid a ridiculous amount of money for diaper rash cream because it was horrible. That stuff was great, it worked so fast.

And honestly, even skinny girls are built with thigh fat, women naturally have more body fat, I have never met anyone who didn't experience at least some chafing due to sweat. Thigh touching is nothing to be ashamed of. (And the last person I was in an intimate situation with ranted about how he hated stick women because they were all sharp sooooo yeah, use your own discretion when it comes to solutions in the way of 'just lose weight', you know your own body better than anyone on a forum, you know whether you're at a healthy weight, or a comfortable weight. Human scum on forums aren't really a good contender for the ranks of doctor's advice, and your own knowledge.)

I have never blocked anyone on a forum. This is genuinely a first. :D

Spanx? I feel like I've seen a summer weight version of Spanx online, but the name is escaping me now. Either way - I was a more curvy girl than I am now - but still have the thigh problem (I even had a thigh lift!) so those long legged slips are my friends.

:)

ccg ;)

good question!

Hello,

I'm a curvy girl too and I frequently have the same issue. However, I hear bikeshorts are glorious, as I hear. Good luck with the suggestions. I hope your problem gets resolved and you get to enjoy some sassy skirts and dresses in the warm weather. Don't let the insecure readers get to you.

And please, board, do NOT feed the troll :)

Thanks all (well, almost all)!

Thanks to all who gave supportive, useful suggestions! I appreciate all of them, though I have tried versions of the bicycle shorts/spanx/etc and don't find them comfortable or cool. The monistat anti-chaffing stuff sounds like it might be what I'm looking for... I'll have to try it and report back.

Thanks also to those who pm'd me suggestions - though I have to say that I don't agree with the one who said (essentially) that women should always wear stockings because no one wants to see our white legs, especially if the woman is overweight.

And finally, I also want to note that my idea of 'curvy' is like the one in this thread: http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=809841. It doesn't mean that a woman is overweight or BBW, just not a stick. And it's true, it's not only larger women who have the thigh chaffing problem. When I'm at my optimum size (which I'll admit I'm about 15 pounds over right now), which is about a US size 8, my thighs still rub together. That's just the way I'm built.

You have NOTHING to explain or defend. Even if you're severely obese, you have every right to ask the question. Asshats will also be douches and the bags they come in, so it's best to ignore them.

Report back on the Monistat anti-chafing cream, please? :D I'm curious.

(ps, I've known some underweight women, and quite thin, who have thigh-chafing)

My 5'5" 115-lb teenager had some thigh-chafing issues the last time she had to wear her band uniform. I DARE anyone to call her fat.

I will chime in and say that I've used the Monistat Soothing Care Powder Gel for years and it's great! Fantastic stuff. It's possible you may need to reapply here and there depending on activity, but I've found it to be really useful, and not just for between the thighs, either! It has lots of uses. Good luck! :)

Fond of those fancy facial {not that kind!} primers that go under make-up, but hate the price? That Monistat anti-chafing gel does the same thing for a much lower price. Of course, you're not getting all the complexion and cosmetic goodies of the ones sold in the make-up aisle.

Ok I am starting to catch on to primers, but what is a fixer? Is it like hair spray? Another product I don't use ;)

Coconut oil. I love the stuff. It works great for chafing and is the best deep conditioner I've ever used on my hair. It is a great overall moisturizer, the smell is light and it doesn't feel greasy. Nature's Way Coconut Oil on Amazon is the best deal I've found.

I use coconut oil for dryness ;)

if you go to an athletic store for runners and such then you can find this stuff for between your legs that is made to reduce chaffing

Don't listen to the haters on here, I for one like and prefer ladies with some curves. I have no clue how to answer your question, I just want to say that I am sure you look great no matter what.

I use coconut oil and spanx. Together. I wear dresses that go to my knee and I love wearing them often. So that always always helps.

how about

I am a curvy woman and will wear nude colored fish nets.. they work like makeup for your legs. And they still look nude and are cool and comfortable

Coconut oil is the do all, end all for everything!!

I even add coconut oil to pure acetone nail polish remover to take the drying bite out of the acetone and moisturizer the cuticles and nails at the same time.

Also, thin cotton briefs worked great for me when I dealt with chaffing issues.

Here is an idea. How about you lose a little weight. I know. That's not the answer you wanted to here. I would start with cutting carbs completely out of your diet for no shorter time period than a month. You should also figure out how to get a half hour of continuos exercise everyday. You might not see that inner thigh gap right away, but I would wager a dollar you will in six months unless you are a complete fat disgusting pig.

Well, you are being an asshole again. How about you learn to spell and understand the difference between here and hear. You feel like you need to be nasty to anyone asking a honest question. How about a little tolerance and learning how to be nice. Women do NOT like bad boys, as you seem to believe.

There is a nice way to say what you were trying to say, and then there is the asshole way of saying it and you chose the later. What a jerk.

As a cyclist, we often chafe on long rides in the saddle - especially in TX during the summer. We use Butt Butter found in cycle shops. Any sporting goods store that carries bike stuff is likely to carry it. It works wonders and goes on like a cream. I have a cousin that has chafing issues. She uses regular old baby powder.

Did not read through all the responses carefully and I may just reproduce a similar idea with someone.
did you try bandage or tape which you can stick it on your thighs?

Hi waterchck, I'd try some shapewear knickers that cover the thighs - you can get cotton ones and they will give you a smoother shape to your lovely curves :)
