Rich and upper middle class urban-based Democrats are too often insulated from citizens who are just barely scraping by in both urban and rural settings. Such corporate-style Democrats come up with half-assed and often privatized approaches that don't meet basic human needs for the lower economic rungs of society. It's not by accident such Democrats are considered out of touch and elitist.

This creates an enthusiasm gap among a huge population of voters and potential voters who get screwed by both parties. The Pig understood this dissatifaction better than the Democrats did. Of course, he lied about what he was going to accomplish for voters who get screwed no matter which party is in power. The Pig simply recognized this sense of desperation and exploited it for votes.

Democrats should not be making a similar mistake.

WTF, do you think farming is the only thing happening out here? And, do you regard rural voters simply as pawns for "wooing" rural votes away from Republicans?

I already talked about other issues affecting both rural and uban low income voters. Democrats need to address basic human rights to health care, education, food, and housing in a direct manner, rather than prioritizing corporate interests and corporate political contributions.

This morning I see evidence of damage in Tel Aviv caused by cluster munitions, but I do not see evidence that the majority of the city has been reduced to rubble in the same way that Israel bombed Gaza.

Aerial bombing is a gross instrument of war. It's not much different than two cavemen clubbing each other until one of them slinks off to get cover.until he's recovered enough to seek revenge.

Problems in Iran did not start in 1979. Before that, it was the CIA installing and propping up a puppet dictator so Amerikans could cruise down Route 66 in gas guzzlers at 20 cents per gallon.

Trying to use bombs to resolve this chauvanistic history is a failure in ethics and creativity. Blood lust and revenge is not a solution to the conflicts in the Middle East.
